The respected Prime Minister of India has become too shy to appear in Public. Everyday we hear new scandals which are putting India in a real state of Shame in front of the World. The Raja case where he openly involves the Prime Minister. The Yeddyuarappa case where he openly challenges the PM to resign. The Ramdev case where his assistent is being hunted by the CBI and Police. The Politicians of Andhra Pradesh making a drama of the Telangana Issue. Karunanidhi's Daugter in Jail at times threatening the Govt alliance. The joker Amar Singh presenting a crore of Rs. in the Parliament. The frequent rape cases in Delhi. KIdnappings all over. No one to respond for any mishappenning (the Mumbai Bombings, The Train accidents etc). What is happenning in India?
Is India Seriously being governed by ANYONE AT ALL? Or it is just the people who have been voted who are taking advantage of their posts. The BJP too is not in a position to take over right now with their leaders too involved in various scams.
The issue raised by Udhav Thakerey about permits to outsiders is something to think about. Maybe it indicates at seperation but at least there will be a control on outsiders. And this can be implemented throughout the country. Something to start with at the moment.

I doubt there is something called a perfect government to suit everyone and problems will always arise in every country, in various forms. To ensure that a lot rubbish problems do not happen, the government has to take a stronger stand and perhaps introduce harsh punishments and a very strong Law Enforcement Forcement Force like Singapore. There would be some loss of freedom of expression etc but in exchange there will be greater efficiency and other benefits.
But this model may not work in India. But personally a strong but fair government is needed I think.
Anyone offering a bribe is also jailed in Singapore. The police and army personnel are quite well paid too. Country is very safe and everyone is entitled to purchase a flat from the government based on their earnings. Higher income groups do not qualify. But the cost of living has been going up and so is inflation.
System here is pretty good but still far from perfect.

With democracy there must be discipline too.

Yes basically if we ourselves can lead a good life then many will follow too. One individual can make all the difference.
For major changes in behavior and attitude, the education system can play a vital role.
