i should have the right to go anywhere i want, and it is, after all, WRONG to prevent people of a certain faith from entering a place. thats the point made here.

I also wish that I get a free entry into Bill Gates's home, it is the temple of "money". but what can I do, he owns it😉

Let me quote you Aurobindo words: someone ask him..."Are you an atheist?"...Aurobindo said, "No."..then man said' What do you mean? You are contradicting yourself'?
Aurobindo said, "Wait a little. You aren't allowing me to say anything more than no. As soon as I say no, you start asking other things. Wait a little. I was saying that I don't believe in God because I know him. Because I know him I don't believe in him. He is. This is not a belief. This is my knowledge, my knowing."

Thanks for mentioning the quote, it's very interesting. Neither does our religion claim to know everything about God. I didn't get what exactly you meant by God is an invention, but if you meant as a fictional invention of man, I respectfully disagree. But then again, that's not the purpose of our discussion in this particular thread. Religion has lately been dominated by politics indeed (and to a significantly large extent, in fact), but that doesn't mean the good values at its core have been negatively affected. That's what matters to a follower most.

In india some temples...not only cristains/muslim ..even a Hindu dalit cant enter the temples!!

God has created all of us as equals.... Lets respect it and change these silly rules....😊

Indeed. Such rules must be dropped immediately.

God is an invention I mean....anyone can be godly....they can truthful, they should be sincere, they should be loving, they should be conscious...That makes them godly, but that does not make them God....I believe Truth is an individual experience, and it can never become a collective phenomenon....all Pht's in this word have their own individuality...their life time they keep searching the God...they never said they are the God..they experience something in their aloneness, in their silence, in their innermost shrine of being...thats why I believe the church/temple/mosque is not outside, it is within you & its a invention!!😊 But then again, that's not the purpose of our discussion in this particular thread. That's a respectable view, and I appreciate it. 😊

Blind faith can indeed be a most dangerous and destructive thing. Though I'd say the selfish religious leaders out there are using this weapon rather than bowing to it themselves. They are well aware of what they are doing and using the faith of their followers to manipulate them into becoming fanatics. Considering these people representative of religion is a fallacy in itself. If people evaluated what they were doing before blindly following these leaders, I don't think the latter would retain their position or respect for long.

Agreed and this is pretty much the norm in majority of the mosques in the UK.

Exactly, why give importance to such temples by going in there. Most of these temples are only interested in making money, they allow certain rich people who donate lot of (black) money to them. The day these rich people will stop donating loads of money to them, they will let all sorts of people come in to get their money 😛

Makes one wonder about the purpose and sanctity that one associates with such places of worship !

Absolutely atrocious behavior! I didn't except such mistreatment of foreigners, who have come to learn more about my country and explore the heritage and culture of India, to be treated like this.🤢 I have been to many churches in Europe, and learned a lot about their architecture, but I was never asked to leave or anything. Also, the reason for taking him to the police is completely not justified, it's not like he broke any guidelines. Of course, he will leave India with a bad image in his mind, and will tell people about such mistreatment, which will in turn lead to a bad image of India abroad, which is already quite tarnished because of illiteracy and poverty. After reading about such incidents, I wouldn't completely blame them.Shame on the people!👎🏼
