Do you think that a total nuclear disarmanment is going to be a reality ? Are you for it or against. Pls state your reasons .

Nah, that's not gonna happen. You see, US and Russia, the 2 main nuclear powers, still have the their nuclear bombs with them. The Cold War stuill continues(as far as nukes are concerned). Obviously, everyone wants to follow the US especially and their technological advances. A country wants to be technologically advanced, or it'll lag behind in competition with other countries. Since the nuclear bomb is the latest and the most destructive type of weapon that man ever created, so everyone would want at least one. It will be useful in coming to an agreement in say, hostage situations.

yeah but nevertheless the effort goes on relentlessly to strive for it. Concern is being expressed at non state actors or terrorists getting hold of nuclear technology & misusing it.

That is a worldwide problem and needs to be sorted out. You can't keep something a secret for a long time, you know.😉

some countries when asked about the safeguards against nuclear weapons falling into wrong hands seemed to be quite confident that the nuclear technology was too sophisticated & complex to be misused by the uninitiated. But I m not so sure . Ppl with the know how cud always be coerced .

After all, Taliban and Al-Qaida are said to have control over some nukes themselves. Don't know if that's true or not(probably isn't), but one has to be wary of such things.
