What happens when we die, when all our organs and organic materials stop working? Does our consciousnesses stops there, right away, or does our consciousness keep on going, extending this physical world, transcending space and time, into the unknown?

Do you believe in an afterlife? Do you feel it is logical and rational enough to believe in the existence of an afterlife in this modern world of science and technology? Do you feel its existence to be illogical and irrational?

How do you think/feel the afterlife is? Is it exactly the way religions and religious scriptures describes it to be? Is the religious description to be taken literally or as a symbolism of what would happen?

Do you have any doubts regarding it? Do you have any hopes regarding it?

What is your view on Near Death Experience? Do you feel they are craps made up of people and websites to raise publicity and earn more money and attention? Do you feel that such an experience could be due to the product of mental stress and other psychological factors involved, hence being scientifically explainable, rather than being supernatural? Do you feel such experience really do occur? Have you ever had the chance to communicate with any such person who had claimed of having NDE? What conclusion did you reach after listening to their commentary? Was it worth believing, does it sound all made up, or a misunderstanding from the patient's part?

Have you ever witnessed anyone dieing (D-I-E-I-N-G not dead)? Did you feel or witness anything extraordinary/supernatural/out-of-the-ordinary/abnormal on that place or in the dieing person's behavior? Did they reveal anything of the other world by any means?

Do you believe in the existence of ghosts (not in the way movies, books describes it) - the spirit of a person who was once alive? Do you feel, assuming the afterlife exists, it is possible for anyone to wander between the boundaries of both the worlds? Have you ever encountered one? Have you ever communicated with anyone who encountered one? What conclusion have you reached listening to their experience?

Lastly, do you feel curious to know the next stage of consciousness? Do you feel curious enough to ever attempt or at least thought of attempting suicide to get to know about the other world, that may or may not exist?

With kind regards,
Labib

Actually labib . I am a science geography student . No way. Its a great sin to commit suicide. Life is to enjoy and see forward what God, The Almighty has kept for us. Its common to be familiar with knowing about future. But its a step by step. Every time its to discover the past and understand the present and hope for best for the future๐Ÿ˜Š

hmmm obviously NO!! pain or just plain exhaustion from life, etc blah blah causes the body to stop working and that's the end of that.

I once saw some old servant dying of a heart attackin thirumala's house which is next to ours. She was shouting "aaaspitaaal konda vaaa!!" in tamil which means "Bring the hospital!" in english.

*sighs* Nope, Elysium too is a Greek Underworld; the final resting place of the virtuous one. Check it out: Elysium.

Remember you are talking to the person who has probably watched each season of Xena thrice. ๐Ÿ˜† I'm well aware of every Greek myth ever. My bad that I misspelled it. Don't usually look up the reference sites for correct spelling and terminology.

There is one Greek Underworld. The underworld is ruled by Hades and is often collectively referred to as Hades. Which is split into two parts Elysian Fields. All the Elysian fields together form Elysium. This is like the equivalent of Heaven, where the good souls go. The other part is Tartarus. This is like the equivalent of hell, where the bad souls go.

Which is why I found it odd that you labeled the topic as Elysium/Hades, because Elysium is a part of Hades. The underworld is either collectively referred as Hades, Netherworld, Underworld or as Elysian Fields (Elysium/Tartarus).

Death is fascinating isn't it. Its like life's greatest surprise is tucked away hidden right at the end of life. There's a pot at the end of the rainbow, right now I can only imagine whats at the end of it.

Do you believe in an afterlife? Do you feel it is logical and rational enough to believe in the existence of an afterlife in this modern world of science and technology? Do you feel its existence to be illogical and irrational?

Yes the brain stores information. Scientists have found nerves and chemicals that triggers emotions. Yet despite extensive study into neurology, psychiatry, psychology, sociology and all the sciences that attempt to unlock the puzzles of human behavior millions of mysteries still remain. No one can explain where our sense of right and wrong or ethics comes from. No one can explain how society shapes man. No one can look at the nervous activity and predict behavior. Sometimes we ourselves cannot explain why we think and feel what we do. There is something beyond our organic body of flesh and blood that affects our lives. Be it our soul, our conscience or whatever. Maybe someday we may discover what it is. Till then, we do not know what it is and what happens to it when our bodies rot away in the dirt. So it is very rational and logical to try and imagine what it might be and what happens to it.

How do you think/feel the afterlife is? Is it exactly the way religions and religious scriptures describes it to be? Is the religious description to be taken literally or as a symbolism of what would happen?

Religious description is nothing but a religious imagination of afterlife. I like to picture afterlife as some night club in hell.

Do you have any doubts regarding it? Do you have any hopes regarding it?

My greatest fear is that I will die and just rot. There is no soul, no nothing at all. You just die and rot. The worst part about is I will die and rot and my soul will not even know the truth that we die on rot. Because I die, and thats that.

I am not sure about all these near death experiences. Good for all those who experience it. Apparently its just as good as Salvia and thats awesome. Although the little death is quite an out of this world experience too.

Once when I was a college I saw an accident when a cyclist had his head semi-severed and died instantly. It was actually not dying. Its like one second alive, next second dead. But quite gruesome and disturbing. I failed my Hindi exam that day.

I believe that we know when people are dying. Its eerie. Last year my grandfather had lung cancer and had few months to live. One evening, our dog just sat at the door by his room and was just whimpering. Our cat was just sitting at his bedside staring at him all evening. I could tell something was wrong by our pet's body language and behavior. I emotionally could not handle it and left the house to meet a friend. Close to midnight, I felt an uneasy heartbeat and the next moment I got a call from home with the bad news. Even animals get it too. My dog who usually is just crazy obnoxious and jumps on everybody, just sat in a corner and watched as the people came to collect the body and stuff.

I want to believe. I am not sure what spirits lurk in the world. Which is why I know how to conduct an exorcism and know what to do in case of a zombie apocalypse. Call me crazy, but I am prepared.

Lastly, do you feel curious to know the next stage of consciousness? Do you feel curious enough to ever attempt or at least thought of attempting suicide to get to know about the other world, that may or may not exist?

Yes, I am a curious child. However, I am chicken too. No crazy suicide vuicide thoughts for me. I am satisfied with the results of one shot too many or something trippy and God's gift to female kind.

With kind regards,
Labib
