American Welcome Drink - Pineapple Ginger with Rum

There couldn't be a more appropriate American Welcome Drink than a pineapple one'with rum. Since bottles of rum accompanied the shipments of pineapple from the Caribbean to colonial America, I'm sure the first American cocktail was created on-board.

For a bit more bite,I blended in fresh ginger, and after one sip, the spicy sweet drink had me wondering why pineapple and ginger are not combined more often.

To carry on the tradition of honoring guests with a fresh pineapple on top, I did just that, by topping the drink with a dwarf pineapple. The most tropical drink you've ever seen, but more American than apple pie.

cheak this site..this is a complete menu of Puerto Rico Culture..😳here they said..

Although Puerto Rican cooking is somewhat similar to both Spanish, Cuban and Mexican cuisine, it is a unique tasty blend of Spanish, African, Tano, and American influences, using such indigenous seasonings and ingredients as coriander, papaya, cacao, nispero, apio, plantains, and yampee. Locals call their cuisine "cocina criolla".

Common Italian Drinks

Amaretto

  • Amaretto is a distinctive liqueur.

Amaretto is a sweet Italian liqueur with an almond flavor. It is made from almonds, apricot kernels, herbs, peaches and cherries. Amaretto is usually served over ice after meals, but it can also be used as an ingredient in desserts. Sometimes it is served over ice cream.

    Sambuca

    • Sambuca is a liqueur made from star anise, which gives it a licorice taste and aroma. According to the "Life in Italy" website, Italian bars and restaurants often place three coffee beans--representing peace, prosperity and happiness--in each glass of Sambuca. Sambuca is most often enjoyed after dinner, but can also be mixed with water and slowly sipped in the afternoon.

    Limoncello

    • Limoncello is an Italian liqueur that is popular as a summer drink because it is traditionally kept in the freezer and served cold. As its name suggests, the main ingredient of Limoncello is the lemon. The other ingredients are alcohol, sugar and water. According to the independent website "Your Guide to Italy," the best Limoncello is produced along the Amalfi Coast in Western Italy, which is the region where this drink originated.

      Campari

      • Campari on ice with mineral water and lemon.

According to the "Your Guide to Italy" website, Campari is a vermouth that originated in 19th century Milan. It is often enjoyed over ice or mixed with mineral water, although it can also be mixed with vodka or grapefruit juice. The reddish color of Campari gives a rosy hue to whatever drink it graces.

      Coffee

      • Cappuccino coffee.

Traders from North Africa introduced coffee to Italy in the 16th century. This is according to the website "Life in Italy," which also states that since that time, coffee drinking has become an important part of the Italian way of life. The most basic Italian coffee drink is espresso. Some common Italian coffee drinks made with espresso are cappuccino (equal parts espresso, foamed milk and steamed milk), macchiato (espresso topped with a generous portion of steamed milk) and latte (espresso with an almost equal amount of steamed milk and a small portion of foamed milk on top).

      Wine

      • Wine has been produced in the region of Italy since before the Roman Empire. The "Italian Made" website states that Italy produces and exports more wine than any other country in the world. This includes red, white, and sparkling varieties. Wine is one of the most common drinks of Italy.
