🥳🥳
YES!!! Sindh led by Shahid Afridi won the ABN AMRO PENTANGULAR CUP! 👏👏This was quite a high profile domestic tournament with almost all the test players taking part in it.😃 It was based on single-league basis...so there was no final as such (just a point system). Federal Areas had 18 points...
Sind n Punjab both had 12 points. The winner was to get 6 points if it conceeded first innings lead and 9 points if it won with a 1st innings lead.
Punjab vs Sindh match started from the 11th March and was a four day match but Sindh wrapped it up today (in 3 days) winning by an innings and 31 runs!!!!👏 All experts and ex cricketers were eagerly waiting for this clash particularly because Sindh's bowling line-up was not made of superstars yet it was lethal...and Punjab's batting line-up had been phenominal throughout the tournament...they even made 500 odd runs in a single day in a match...(but that was coz of the graveyard wicket..actually, they had played all their matches on graveyards and this was the first one they played on a lively track!!!) The pitch at National Stadium had been excellent throughout the tournament unlike the pitches at Punjab...!
Shoaib Malik did not play the match coz his mother's ill. So Misbah was captaining the side..!
Afridi's boys were amazing!! They batted well.....bowled well....fielded well throughout the tournament...👏👏They were truly deserving!!👏Sindh was the only team to win 3 of its 4 matches. The one they lost was against Federal Areas which Sind lost by just 1 wicket!!🤓
Credit for Sindh's victory goes to first of all it's captain Afridi who kept his side alive, himself bowled well with a good captaincy!!! then to Sohail Khan (the same guy who took a record 65 wickets in Quaid Trophy) who emerged as the highest wicket taker of the tournament...then Anwar Ali (the 2006 Pak U-19 star), Fawad Alam, Rizwan Ahmed, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Faisal Iqbal.👏👏 The best thing about victory was that they had always done it wid team effort...they didn't draw any match....played all its matches on tricky wickets and still won the tournament!!

I went to watch the match today....😳and guess wat!!😛I spent most of my time with the players of the Sindh team...(coz my bro was wid me n he's a friend of Fawad....and other players also know him coz of my cousin!!!)😛
I had some interesting experience which I'll tell u later....
and I also noticed some stupid things about this tournament...actually...not about the tournament..but about some injustices done wid some players!
