14:13 Local Time, 08:43 GMT, 14:13 IST: Mitchell gingerly walks back and climbs the stairs all the way to reach the dressing room. That's good news for New Zealand. He has been battling the heat and the oppressive conditions here in Mumbai but has not given it up. So far it has been a superb innings from him. His partnership with Young was worth 87 and that's when batting seemed easier and India were beginning to get worried. Jadeja provided the timely breakthrough by getting Young and then removed Blundell in the same over. Phillips joined Mitchell and added another little stand before he was bowled through the gate.

It was 92 for 3 in the first session. This session yields 100 for 3. Upped their run-rate slightly to 3.57 for this session. Given the pitch's behaviour, you'd think NZ would be very happy with how the post-lunch session went. Young (71) and Mitchell (53*) added 87 for the fourth wicket before Jadeja unleashed himself. He went strong from one end to account for Young, Blundell and Phillips. A much needed tea break for Mitchell and some India fielders to rejuvenate themselves. And some thinking for India to do now how they plan to stop NZ from getting close to 250, which - according to broadcasters - seems like the par score on this pitch. Sidharth will join you on the other side.

India would be looking to take these last four wickets quickly and hope to keep New Zealand to as low a first innings total as possible. This pitch already looks to be a raging turner and batting last on this could prove to be almost impossible. Back for the last session in 15 minutes...
