That's lunch on the opening day of this eagerly anticipated series. It hasn't been the most edge-of-your-seat viewing on a docile surface but India will be very happy with their early effort. Just the one man down at the interval with Vijay already having a half-century to his name. Looks a day (and more) of toil for England's bowlers unless, perhaps, the ball starts to reverse later on. Gavaskar is the interim BCCI president yaar😆

shastri doing some legal work for the BCCI so cant pursue his commentary career at the moment
