Hiiii!!!

This is a very simple game...all you have to do is post a Computers/ Science/ Technology related term(n a small definition if possible)...

One person will post a term starting with the letter 'A', the next member will post with 'B' n the next with 'C', n so on...

So let's start😉😉

A

ASCII

(American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII), pronounced /'ski/[1] is a character encoding based on the English alphabet. ASCII codes represent text in computers, communications equipment, and other devices that work with text. Most modern character encodings — which support many more characters than did the original — have a historical basis in ASCII.)

Oh sorry, I thought it is like Antakshari, in which one has to post a word starting from the last letter of previous word.

You posted COBOL, which ends in L. That is why I posted with L: - Lisp.
So, shall we go by A,B,C,D or like Antakshari?

'Computers, Science n Technology'...Faraday is related to science.
And Faraday coined the terms like 'Electrode', 'Anode', 'Cathode'. His work provided the basic elements on which Computers work.
