The day could be like any other day ,but no, it isn't ! Shivangi groaned while she hit the snooze button on her phone alarm which read "Wake up and study French!" and flipped her blanket back on with a sigh .
"How cruel is this world?" she murmured in a sleepy voice "won't even let an innocent kid enjoy her birthday".
"Is that what you think you are ? Innocent?"a smooth velvety voice asked from the doorway of her room.

Shivangi clutched her pillow and hugged it tighter "Ohh...such a beautiful dream!" she exhaled a content sigh.

"Now why do you think you are dreaming?" that same velvety voice , which sounded suspiciously similar to Elijah's, asked again, albeit in a little amused tone now.

Shivangi bolts upright ,every trace of sleep gone from her eyes and stared at the man on her doorway with wide,bewildered eyes. She pinched herself and then rubbed her eyes.

"No. It seems, I'm not dreaming after all" she murmured to herself and continued staring, ignoring the voice in her brain which said she was either still asleep and that it is just a dream or she has officially gone crazy now that she is seeing things .

Quite astonishing thing it would seem, if you judged by the man she is staring at cause the last time Shivangi checked, this mysterious man in her room was a fictional character , though needless to say by now Shivangi is in no fit state to analyze things logically.

"Elijah! You here?" She squeaked the words out of her suddenly speechless and dumbstruck mouth . Elijah Mikaelson smiled fondly, if you could call that sad twist on his lips a smile .He came forward to where Shivangi was sitting, surprised and apparently immovable for a while and ran a long smooth finger down her cheek fondly .

"Yes I'm here" his lips curved up in that sad twist again "I've come to wish you." Shivangi could hardly believe her ears , Elijah Mikaelson , her dream man, her Prince Charming, had come to wish her on her birthday!

"I hope and pray that you be happy with Jackson." Elijah concluded quietly.

Errrm...WHAT ?? Shivangi came out of her dreamy state and started a furious brainstorm in a feeble attempt to remember who the hell this Jackson guy was . The name sounded familiar, she has heard it somewhere...but only if she could remember it right now! Elijah sat down beside her and took her hands into his big warm ones .

"I know marrying him was your duty, you had to do it for your pack, but..." Elijah continues in choked voice "but...it seems I still can't accept it Hayley!"
Well, now that was just too much, a bit too much to mess up her already messed up brain, Shivangi thought in despair. Duty,pack...what does he mean ?

"Hayley! Will you do me one last favour?" Elijah asked in a constrained voice. HAYLEY !! Now that word kicked Shivangi's fuzzed up brain back into gear. Why was he calling her Hayley? Shivangi turned to question Elijah but her eyes landed on the mirror of the bedside wardrobe .

The sight that could deliver Shivangi a heart failure,but ,thank God it didn't. She only looked at the image perplexed, where she could see Hayley sitting on the bed with Elijah instead of her. But then she felt Elijah lifting her hand to his mouth and pressed a soft kiss there while in the mirror Elijah kissed Hayley's hand .

"Will you go 0n a date with me tonight Hayley? One last time?" Elijah asked her in a soft whisper . Shivangi returned her attention back to Elijah and studied his pleading face thoughtfully.

Hmph ! So it seemed that somehow she had become Hayley, Shivangi tried to calculate the scenario in her head . And now THE Elijah Mikaelson had asked her out on a date thinking she was Hayley, not that Shivangi minded the "going on a date" part . She would be more than happy to go out with Elijah Mikaelson and live the dream of her life,even if it was just for an evening.

"Will there be a candle light dinner ?" She whispered.

"There will be, if you would like one" Elijah smiled down at her .

"Will there be a romantic dance?" Shivangi/Hayley asked him in a haze and Elijah smiled again.

"There will be ,if you want one." It did not take long for her to decide.

"Okay. I'll go on a date with you." Shivangi/Hayley smiled back . After all this might be her one and only chance to live her dream alive, so she better seize the chance now before it was gone.

Needless to say, the concept of maturity and reasoning ceased to exist in Shivangi's mind. With complete fairness however, she had a freakin Orginal asking her on a date.Reasoning, logic, maturity- whatever the hell it was- could go on a one-day vacation for all she cared.

Flattening her hair- or was it Hayley's- she smiled to herself. While she herself was beautiful, Shivangi couldn't deny that Hayley was a little pretty (aka drop dead gorgeous). As herself and Elijah reached into a forest like setting, the nerves began to settle in.

"You look amazing! I mean, you always do...but...wow."

"Thanks, Elijah! Now, want to tell me if I should be worried about where we are? I mean when you said a candle light dinner, I didn't imagine a forest as well?"

Chuckling, Elijah stared at more like hypnotized Shivangi, simply holding out his hand as an indication to follow. Walking into the woods, Shivangi couldn't feel more excited andgiddy. Ignoring the fact that she was not in her body, she couldn't help but notice how her hands in Elijah's fit so perfectly. Like mentioned, reasoning and logic were on a one day vacation.

As they were about to cross a bridge Elijah stopped her, only to put a blindfold around her eyes.

About to speak, he simply said, "Shhh. I promise it'll be perfect."

How does he manage to sound so sexy? Not that Shivangi was complaining, with that voice she could stand here for hours. That voice, that touch- Hayley- the actual one, was an idiot for marrying that jackass. Holding her waist, they began walking over the barely stable bridge, her fright of falling suddenly over weighed the romantic scenery.

Suddenly Elijah pushed her down and screamed, "GET DOWN!" And then it was chaos. Elijah's touch now lost all she could feel was the chills down her arms. Using the strength of her hybrid she stood, unwrapping herself from the strains of the blindfold and quickly assessed the scene in-front of her.

Elijah stood being held down by 4 (beat that Salman Khan) vampires...or were they werewolves. Who cared anyway?!

Screaming as loud as she could, she saw two of them advance upon her. Just as he approached she kicked him- the aim was good enough to ensure he never had kids again. Damn! Hayley's strength was something she could get used to.

Smirking, Shivangi saw the shadow of two people behind her. Swiftly turning around she ducked before they could grab her and kicked on to the floor whilst strangling one to a tree. Remembering the nature of her werewolf side, she bit into him and snapped his necksimultaneously.

No one messes with her man and gets away with it. No one.

Turing her attention to the two men that she kicked before she hurdled the nearest tree towards them. Taking advantage of their pain, she twisted one's head while punching the other's face. Upon recovering, he tried to punch Shivangi in the face, however she was faster than him and ducked, while also grabbing his waist and bringing him to the ground. She ripped his heart out. Shivingi suddenly heard a painful moan.

Turning her head towards Elijah, she saw him being stabbed repeatedly by the two remaining men.

"Damn! How did they manage to restrain him? Was it magic?" She thought to herself. Running towards the shocked men who couldn't believe a girl had taken down several of their accomplices, Shivangi could only see blood. Before one of them could even punch her she held a branch she found earlier and stabbed him, and then immediately cracked his neck. That was the end of him.

Now confronting the last man standing, healed knuckled and blood dripping, Shivangi knew what had to be done. Just before she could finish off her role as Elijah's savior, the Orginal himself ended the last man's life. Staring into each others eyes, they both simply stood. And then,she ran to hug him and wrapped her aka Hayley's arms around him. Losing Elijah would have sucked. Who would she have drooled and fangirled over? Yeah sure, there were other celebs, but who could replace the mean and badass ELIJAH. He was hermain man.

Smiling they looked into each others eyes, only the silence was momentary as Elijah began to speak.

"You could have got hurt."

"It would have totally been worth it."

"No. Never. Never say that. You getting hurt is not worth anything."

"You care a lot about me?"

"No shit. You're amazing Hayley. Everything about you. You always have been. Not for a moment have I not wanted to protect you. Not for a day have I not cared for you. I don't think I ever will."

The atmosphere was tense as they embraced in the silence. Simply put, the scene would be 18+ if Shivangi could have her way. Elijah stared at her lips, and Shivangi got the message. Was this happening? Like seriously? SHE WAS ABOUT TO KISS ELIJAH, THE ORIGINAL VAMPIRE?!

As they leaned into each other, a brush of wind passed. For some reason her lips touched...air.

Opening her eyes she stared into those of a fan, one that was rusty and exactly like the one in her room.

And therefore, though Shivangi was a badass, she couldn't have her makeout session with Elijah.

But its still her BIRTHDAY!!!! So let's focus on that shall we?
