Brilliance in Sri Lanka awards ceremony

A morning of celebration as students, principals and proud parents assemble at the offices of the British Council in Colombo to celebrate the achievements of Sri Lankan students in the 2007 June examination session.

CIE Director Guy Lane and Regional Representative Nirmali Hettiarachchi will join with students, parents and staff from some of Bangladesh's leading schools for the annual Brilliance in Sri Lankan awards ceremony.

The event will celebrate the achievements of students who have gained 'Top in the world' or 'Top in Bangladesh' rankings in their subjects or have performed best across a collection of subjects. The results of the CIE Holiday Diary Competition will be announced and certificates will also be given to Inspirational Teachers from CIE Schools.

Kindly hosted by The British Council, this event is one of the highlights of the CIE year and is strictly by invitation only.
