I have been seeing CID these days, is there any cost cut imposed?
I see lot of melodrama or others cast being present at least for 15 mins and after 15 mins CID entry will start and very few officers will investigate the case and their duration of investigation is really less time and more commercials are being aired.

Is there any ways imposed to cut production costs where cast can shoot less number of days? By seeing investigation pattern I doubt CID team shoots hardly 15 to 20 days per month.

I think CID should ask its fans suggestions on CID can be improved..

I strongly pitch for one episode per week or max 2, which can have time for writer to give a solid script and better treatment.

I wouldn't call it cost cutting. I think it's a lack of good stories. Even the ones with the long intros, the cases are not that great.

Plus I do believe the 3 episodes a week is crazy hectic. All the actors have to appear in each episode and thus they are always shooting.

I agree with the last point completely. In fact, it has happened many times on this forum where we've discussed what to fix, how to fix it, and what works and doesn't work. But it appears that it doesn't make much of a difference sadly.

Communicating those suggestions to the crew got me replies like ' we will think about it/ we are bound by certain guidelines'. I am done with suggesting anything at all.

I can only agree. I think by now they would have taken suggestions into account. And if they aren't then it means they don't really care or maybe they are "bound" by guidelines, whatever those guidelines are.

I think they really don't care as long as people r watching it.
Of which guidelines they r talking about? Is it written in guidelines that don't improve the stories, screenplay??😕😕
Ok...shooting 3 epies in a week is really hectic. So that they can distribute the team...right? And if we watch the 3 epies carefully...we cansee that yeah...they have distributed the team.
In one epi...Daya remain gayeb...and in another Abhijeet & in another Acp sir.
Even after this they can't shoot an epi well now. Just becoz of there r no valid storyline.
They r now busy in bringing Jadoo, genie, ghosts, supervillains & make the officers superhero🥱😆
All that I can say now...FW sudhar jah😛

No matter how much CID fan I am , I am always against the decision of showing CID all 3 days & even 2 days. Earlier Friday 10 pm slot is more than enough. To convey what I am exactly trying to say , pls compare any old 90's era serial & current serial. Why most of them were always interesting ? Plot & Screenplay was of course the reason. But they could maintain that freshness because those serials were only once a week.
Second thing is about guidelines. And in that I think they are right. CID first took a sharp decline after 2007-2008 . And then they have changed everything from there. And it was the same point when CID became popular in kids. Daya was converted into almost a superman. So I think they have purposely done this because they started to loose their youth audience. They have toned down the suspense completely. CID is almost a family show now. Thrill & nail biting suspense is lost which was there earlier. In fact I have read BP Singh's interview about 2years ago on CID in a magazine. On being asked why the CID is not like usual he told : "We are now trying to build CID into family show where everybody can enjoy together. We can't show adult & too confusing & violent plots because we have children also as our audience. "

^ Honestly they can be a family show and still be crime-oriented and suspense-based.

The earlier episodes weren't violent. They were strong murder mysteries, missing cases, fraud cases, etc. that were based on around good suspense, investigation, thrill, and realism. Cases like The Missing Father or The Suicidal Student were informative, suspenseful, nailbiting, and not violent at all.

And in today's day and age kids are quite smart. My neighbours have a 7-year-old whose already watching shows like Criminal Minds. If they can take American crime shows, then why can't our Indian crime shows be at least half as violent?

I love CID still. I may not watch every episode anymore and I may have just bad to say, but I sincerely watch it with the hopes that maybe one day they'll improve. That they'll listen to their fans and actually make changes.

I don't mind biweekly. Even during the biweekly era we had some really good episodes. In fact more good, than bad. So they should go back to that. Or at least get more and better writers!

It's not about how kids are smart in reality , it's about how smart makers think they are 😛 And that still holds true for most Indian films also which are not only for children , but they still think even grown ups can't understand anything & there mental age is 3-4 🤬
