GD I don't think this news is false. It may not be the 20th, but it doesn't appear false. Because a few months back Sab TV did the same. They pulled off most of their shows except their top shows like Tarak and Chidiya Ghar and now every few months they revamp all their shows again and again. I haven't seen any of their new shows (weekday or weekend) last more than 3 or 4 months now. Additionally, there is already news doing the round that Jaane Aage Hoga Kya is about to end and it was just launched on 31st Aug. Now I do agree with Kulasya that they can't pull all their shows off air. I think some of their top and brand shows like CID, CP, Maharana Pratap, Hanuman, and maybe IKNMP will stay. I say maybe for IKNMP because they did say all shows and that might come under the axe. I don't know for sure about Karn, but given that JAHK is already facing the axe and Reporters is ending soon as it was a finite series, my guess is the daily shows will face the axe and the weekend shows will stay as is.

Now if you look at this decision, I say it's stupid. Sony really needs to buck up their game and promote their shows and have repeat timings as well. They only show CID and CP most of the day and fans of other shows resent that. I do too. They can easily raise their TRPs with their current batch of shows because each show is popular in its own way. But they need to start promoting them, raising awareness about their shows, and increasing the repeats of their other shows as well.

I will be very happy if cid ends. Then the actors will get free. We will get a chance to see them in shows with a new role.

But i don't think sony will pull off Cid as it's the reason that sony is running till now. They can pull off all shows but cid.

What i want,

I want Cid to end in a better way.i want ppl to miss this show rather than saying "chalo band ho hi gaya bakwas show(this is what my friend would say)

I want us to remember and discuss about some cherishable moments of the show rather than feeling hurt or feeling insulted

Cid khud hi end ho jaye ek din,bas use koi forcefully na end kare becoz of low TRPs

Because we are emotionally attached to the actors and characters and we dont want them to feel insulted

Relax everyone,

they've restructured their leadership team recently,

shows like CID,Crime Patrol and Hanuman aren't going to close anytime soon.

Reporters and Aahat,2025-JKHA are the ones surely going off air.

As for Maharana Pratap and Surya putra Karn, these shows are going too fast so yes they have high chances of going off air soon.

Satam sir anyways is rarely present since many years now,and Aditya sir went on a pilgrimage with his family recently which explains their absence.

So ...relax.

I agree that CID is not like older days now. This is just time waste. Closing CID is just relief from degrading it's quality even more. But still watching of ending of CID is not going to be easy ( if they really close) for me. More than thrill & suspense , now am emotionally involved with Trio. I am from that lot who have watched CID from very old days, May be that's why I never call ' Abhijeet Sir' or ' Daya Sir' to them when I write or speak about them. Even though I am from Pankaj's generation .For me it's always 'Abhijeet & Daya. May be because I consider them friend.

same here...😊 I maybe ...sachin's age? maybe less...No idea really. Definitely older than pankaj and purvi.

wise decision by Sonytv ...

their GRPs are decreasing badly and its high time they should take some drastic steps to save the channel from being closed...though I don't think they'll take the risk of ending CID but a revamp of the show is much needed,its getting dull and boring day by day..

I don't watch CID these days,but you see..there is always this hope of some good episode going to air..someday..i keep checking out this forum if not necessarily logging in these days-simply because of hope.

I don't want this hope to die so abruptly.

They better show what happens to all the characters before they end the show-bte the show is not ending and i am still going to bet on it😆
