Late at night, a couple (Rakesh, Aliya) and their son Rohan come to buy a now-shut down orphanage with the intention of reviving it. While the couple go thru the papers and the house, Rohan sees 4 masked kids through a window and goes to play with them. The agent Anuj shows them around the house. Rakesh and Aliya meet a caretaker and a maid Shanta.
After the deal is signed Aliya goes out to bring Rohan back. Rohan seems to be playing with 4 kids (Nidhi, Boney,Joy, Johny) but Aliya doesn't see any of them.
A neighbour Gayatri visits them and gives them coffee. Aliya mentions the 4 kids to Gayatri but she says there are no such kids in the neighbourhood.
At midnight Aliya hears noises and goes out to check. She goes upstairs and sees the shadow of 2 boys playing in a room. She goes in, thinking it is Rohan, but she finds no one there. Rohan comes in from behind her and swears that he was asleep and it was not him.
Aliya holds a fundraising party for the Orphanage. In the middle of the party, Rohan sees his 4 masked friends upstairs and goes into the house. When Rohan isn't seen for a long time, Aliya starts searching for him. She goes into a room upstairs and finds Rohan's shoes in the middle of the room and lots of blood beside it. She screams.
CID team arrives and starts searching. Sachin finds blood on the handle of a cupboard. He opens it and finds a hidden staircase, leading to a basement. Abhijeet, Freddie, Sachin, Pankaj and Shreya go down and search. They find Shanta's body. Shreya finds that her neck is broken. Abhijeet finds 4 pairs of white canvas shoes under a cupboard. Aliya tells CID team about the 4 kids about whom Rohan had told her.
CID team continues the search and Sachin finds an exit from where the road can be reached and they assume that the kidnappers might have taken Rohan through that exit.. Abhijeet goes out and asks a neighbour is she had seen Rohan being taken away. Freddie mentions the 4 friends' names and the lady tells them that these 4 were the names of the kids who were kidnapped 10 years back from the same orphanage and it was rumoured that the matron Nirmala was responsible for this.
Sachin and Shreya continue searching the basement and find a skull. It is sent to the forensic lab.
Salunkhe reveals that the blood isn't Rohan's. Tarika is busy reconstructing the skull's face.
Nikhil comes in with the 10 year old report of the kidnap of the 4 kids which reveals that the shoes of the 4 kids were found in a dustbin and that the shoes had lots of beach sand on them. The matron Nirmala had vanished after the kids were kidnapped.
Tarika reveals that Nirmala couldn't have come back, as the skull which was found in the basement is Nirmala's.
Daya reads the case history once again and finds that Aliya is Nirmala's daughter. ACP says that someone who assumed that Nirmala is the culprit was probably taking revenge on Aliya by kidnapping her son Rohan.
Daya gets a call from Rakesh saying that Aliya is missing. CID team traces the last location of Aliya and reach a street where Rakesh is waiting for them (how did he know the location? 😕) Rakesh tells CID team that he had seen Aliya walking there but before he could catch up with her, she disappeared.
Daya and the rest of the team rush in the direction in which Aliya was seen walking. It leads to the boat jetty.
A masked man is seen holding Rohan at gunpoint on a boat and Aliya begs with him to leave Rohan. The masked man tells Aliya that her mother Nirmala had kidnapped 4 kids 10 years back and 3 of the kids had died of drowning. He says that he would kill Rohan and have revenge. The masked man is about to shoot Rohan when Daya shoots at his hand. The masked man throws Rohan into the water. Nikhil and Vansh jump in and save Rohan. The masked man runs away. Daya catches him and lands a few punches all over his body. Finally Daya removes his mask. The culprit is none other than Anuj - the agent who finalised the sale deed in the first scene. He reveals that his real name is Joy.
Daya tells Joy that Nirmala was not the culprit but the real killers had even killed Nirmala and left her body in the basement. Aliya is shocked to know that her mother Nirmala is dead. Joy asks Aliya to forgive her. Daya tells Joy that the court might forgive him after listening to the story of his troubled childhood. (Not a phaasi! Why not? He had killed Shanta didn't he 😕)
