Case Title: Kyu Maalik Bana Chor?
Air Date: 8th November, 2014
We see a man entering a mall slightly staggering. He climbs the escalator and soon he faces a young girl with a gun. He tells her not to shoot but she does and the sound alarms everyone and they try to find out. The man hurriedly picks up his stuff and tries to go away. He gets out of the man, catches an auto and goes away.
A car arrives in front of a bungalow and one man gets down and says that it was Dhanraj's house. Then the phone rings and the man tells the other on the line that they would finish the job and only then return. They ring the doorbell. No answer. They force themselves in and find a corpse. People rush in hearing the burglar's alarm. The men, scared, run away.
The team enters and while others are checking the corpse Daya sir asks what exactly happened and one man explains it to him. The man also says that he had noted the car registration number. Daya sir asks Mayur to note the number down. Shreya tells Daya sir that paintings from 3 frames were missing. They turn the corpse, and the people say that it is Dhanraj. They wonder why Dhanraj was wearing a thief's garments. Daya sir asks everyone to check the house and see if any of his family members was there. Sachin says that probably Dhanraj might have used the gun.
One man wakes up in his house(probably the guy in the mall) and finds the object still with him. He tells to himself that he must hide it before anyone in his house sees it.
Kavin finds a bullet lodged into the wall and tells that Dhanraj might have fired it. Daya sir tells that perhaps someone else was there. Kavin tells it might have been those 4 people. Daya sir says that only after Dr.Salunkhe's report to the exact time of Dhanraj's death, anything could be asserted. Daya sir then finds the doormat containing sand and mud and asks Myur to check Dhanraj's shoes and he shoes are clean. Shreya and the others brings in the relatives- Nisha, Dhranaj's niece, Dhanraj's daughter and son-in-law and Dhanraj's buddies. As the others wonder how everyone is so dazed, Daya sir suspects that they might have been under the influence of a strong sedative. After coming to their senses, they are shocked to see that Dhanraj was dead and the friends ask where the paintings had gone. Daya sir says that whatever had happened there was connected with Dhanraj's death.
In his house, Naveen(the guy in the mall) forces his friend to prescribe some pain killers. His mom asks him why he looked to pale and he says that it was because of the lack of sleep the previous night. He says the tablet names to his mother and she agrees to buy them for him.
In Dhanraj's house, the kin and the friends say that they were not even aware that the burglar alarm was ringing and didn't know when their eyes had given away. The daughter says that they had gone for a dinner organized unannounced by Dhanraj at Delight Restaurant. Daya sir asks if Dhanraj was disturbed during the past few days and the daughter says that he had indeed been, ever since the paintings had come home.
Flashback: Dhanraj's friend is asking him not to put up the 33Cr painting on the wall but Dhanraj says he knows what he would do with it. Then we see the family sitting together and the daughter asks him if someone was bothering him regarding the painting and the son-in-law suggests that he went to the police. Dhanraj flares up telling he too knows what to do and then we see the family members asking him why he was hanging such an expensive painting on the wall. He says that it is his painting and that he'd hang it where he wants.
Nikhil wonders how a man can buy an expensive painting and attempt to steal it himself. Days siri says that in the end it was stolen by someone else. Kavin asks what the motive could be behind the 4 men's visiting the place and Daya sir says that the paintings were the sole reason behind the death of Dhanraj. Mayur finds a needle in Dhanraj's body and tells that only Dr.Salunkhe can tell them how the murder had taken place and with which object.
In the forensic lab, when the team enters Dr. Salunkhe says that the bullet was so damaged that he couldn't any information regarding it. Dr. Tarika tells them that the gravel particles found on the doormat was different from those found in Dhanraj's garden.Dr. Salunkhe says that the bullet from Dhanraj's gun had not struck the 2nd thief but the needle from the latter had definitely pierced the former. Salunkhe sir tells that since the water turned blue once he dropped the needle, the needle was poisoned. This incident had taken place around 10pm.
In the bureau, Abhijeet sir brings in the joining letter of Ishita who was suspended earlier due to carelessness. Abhijeet sir says that she had assured him to be vigil henceforth. Freddy sir then asks ACP sir what is going to be positive in Dhanraj himself buying the painting and stealing it and also tells that no insurance could be availed for an illegal one as that. ACP sir says that that's what puzzles him too. Abhijeet sir affirms that there is some connection between the painting, the murder and the visit of the goons. He also reminds them that Dhanraj had planned a surprise dinner for them. ACP sir says that they must find out from the hotel.
In the hotel the manager is advising the waiters about treating the guest. The team enters the hotel and asks the manager if Dhanraj had visited there with his family the previous night. The manager says that he had come and asks why they were asking all this. Abhijeet sir says that a sedative drug was mixed with the food. One of them points to Raghu who turns out to be the one to clean that table. Raghu tells that the manger had offered to serve Dhanraj's family himself but says that in turn Dhanraj had taken the dishes to serve.The manager also says that Dhanraj's behaviour was so peculiar that night. This was enough to ascertain them that it was none other than Dhanraj who had done it.
In his house, Navin is searching for his mother and takes the first-aid kit from the drawer and dresses his wound. When he comes out he finds his mother and tells that a bullet had just grazed his skin. He asks her to call his friend Dayal home and his mother agrees.
In the bureau two of the men-in-suit are sitting, bruised. They try to retort but ACP sir silences them by saying that about 17 cases were against them at the police and demands an explanation for the fully loaded guns. They say that the guns were only to scare people and not to murder. Then Freddy and Pankaj enter the scene bringing in a man called Piyush who tells the team that the 2 people were the ones who did all the rowdy work. Shreya tells that the team has already rooted information that their cars were registered under Cool Travels and that the 2 of them-Rajesh and Suresh have been working as drivers alongside doing the goonda kaam. One of them says that their work was only to act as recovery agents and their purpose to go to Dhanraj's house was the very same. They also reveal that Dhanraj was not actually the one the way he look externally. They say that he had borrowed 33 crores. Shreya asks how the family didn't tell them anything to which ACP sir tells that perhaps Dhanraj might not have told them at all. Hearing the name of the boss of the two men, ACP sir asks them to call Binaki(the boss) right then. The men talk to the boss as told and ask him to come to the place. Binaki says that he would be there in half an hour. The men ask him how he was coming so that they could identify him easily from a distance.
Freddy and Pankaj wait at the entrance when the golden medox vehicle arrives. They both trap Binaki and take him upstairs where ACP sir does the rest. Binaki retorts asking if it was not good to serve the needy. But ACP sir demands an explanation to what he does when they are not able to return the money. He says that would take the help of the goons. He also says that he had not given any such amount of 33 crores to Dhanraj and tells that they might very well be knowing that there had been a theft at Dhanraj's house where Shreya adds that many expensive paintings were stolen. Binaki says that Dhanraj had borrowed 17cr from him and the 16cr from someone else. Binaki says that there was someone else who might be their man and his name was Navin
In the house, Navin is twisting in pain and Dayal comes in. Dayal says that he needs an operation. Just then CID team enters. Dayal tells them that Navin must be operated upon immediately and Pankaj goes to call the ambulance. ACP sir says that Dhanraj was dead and Navin is shocked to hear that the thief was Dhanraj. Navin tells that the paintings were under the bed in his room. He tells that he didn't kill Dhanraj. The flashback shows Navin stealing one painting after another and Dhanraj coming. He fires a bullet which grazes Navin's skin and the latter makes his escape. He also explains to them what had happened in the mall.
In Dhanraj's house an alarm rings and everyone comes to the hall and is stunned to find the paintings back in place. The daughter tells that they must inform CID about it. Outside the house Sachin sir asks the reason to Daya sir for doing so for which he replies saying the criminal was one from the family. Shreya says that the phones are being tapped and escape was impossible. Slowly starting from the daughter, to the friends, one by one, comes out and Daya sir sends Shreya-Nikhil and Sachin-Mayur to follow the two groups respectively. Finally Ishan(son-in-law) comes out and Daya sir himself follows him.
Ishan reaches a place where Nisha is held captive and she begs him pardon for not being able to kill Navin. Ishan asks her how the paintings came back and Daya sir enters and delivers the thappad.
They confess their crime. Ishan tells them that when he was in need of his money he was forced to kill Dhanraj and Nisha tells that Dhanraj had no affection for her and so had consented Ishan's plan. Ishan says that when he got the chance he never left it. We are shown the flashback and then ACP sir tells that their plan had failed when Navin came in between. Ishan says that even if he had lost the paintings, at least by killing his father-in-law he would get the property. ACP sir says that they would be punished.
Ishita rejoins duty and ACP sir tells her that every CID officer must learn from his/her mistakes and must never commit the same again. Ishita promises to do the same.
This probably is my last WU before I take a break. Studies pressure is increasing and I can hardly open and post here. But I promise to get back in touch with everyone like the same old days.
