You can borow against gold, but then again you'll pay interest, wont you?

End of the day, you will not get the market value of gold as cash in your hands.

Investing in gold and property both are beneficial far better than investing in shares believe me

But to look at it as
a hedge avenue, Indians are yet
to consider this market actively
as the purchases continue to be
dominated by jewellery. Gold
only beats inflation. It fares
poorly when compared to real
estate or shares when
compared on the basis of real
inflation adjusted returns.
Any serious investor should have a certain
percentage of investment in
gold to hedge inflation...so not a bad idea.
shares are indeed risky to invest in especially when you are an outsider to the biz world.

They say its better to buy gold ETF than gold jewellery. You can sell for cash any time.

Property...big headache. 😵 Remember khosla ka ghosla? Actually it happened to one of my college friends...

In the present scenario, nothing looks nice, but there's a school of thought which says buy shares now in bits.

Gold ETF is a beneficial option...having gold in its physical form...lol..you hhave to spend on bank lockers..
khosla ka ghosla..you need to be careful ..risk is everywhere ..say satyam too
one needs to know the right time to buy and sale shares.
