"We've been hearing the horror stories, and feeling helpless," says Daya. "Along with my producer BP Singh and some assistant directors, I'm going to Uttarakhand and will help in any way possible. We will reach Rishikesh and go up to Joshimath and organise a food camp where the most people are stuck," he says.
The team, which isn't associated with any NGO or political party, plans to help people get home, and provide medicines and blankets. "I'm ready to do manual labour in helping the army to clean up or restore order," he says. The team is in touch with locals who
helped co-ordinate the shoot. "They
told us that food is a huge issue. Even the small restaurants have shut as they don't have business anymore," he says. Daya isn't worried about work right now. "The show will continue without me. I will stay there for 10-20 days and even more if needed."
