but someone had to hold the fort at the bureau too. Abhijeet being the incumbent in ACP's absence had to do that. Also, I think Abhijeet had been called by the higher authorities to attend a meeting. And I think, even at the hospital, when ACP held Daya's hand he speaks out Abhijeet's name and then Daya corrects him that its not Abhijeet. So, I think he would have been comfortable with both equally. We would have seen Abhijeet too nodding off to sleep on the table at ACP's house had Daya been the incumbent instead of Abhijeet.

True, but then if the incumbent is Daya, then duo would never have been the same, would they? 😛

yes they wont be.😛

The second- In - Command status belongs to Abhijeet and nothing can change that

yes, its not that ACP would have been less comfy with him...😛

being the second in command he could not neglect his duty and be there to support ACP like Daya..

Even Daya had to leave ACP for a while when duty called.

And ACP says Abhijeet when Daya gives him his hand

Also in ACP Praduman Giraftar he calls out to Abhijeet when he is hanging

So we cant make a generalzsed statement as to who he is comfy with

He is comfy with both I think but I have noticed that he calls out Abhijeet;s name more

Yes Nandini I too have observed this. Even in the latest case on 14 th Jan 2012, he calls out to Abhijeet involuntarily.

At the same time, it is evident that ACP always falls back on Abhijeet and Daya more than anyone else.

It is like a reflex action, natural and not rehearsed.

In the episode where he is blind, it is almost a foregone conclusion that he is waiting to hear Daya's voice confirming his knowledge that Abhijeet would be holding fort at the bureau.

This relationship is truly beyond explanation many a times.

During the early days of Abhijeet, I used to be surprised at this...I couldn't help noticing that ACP calls out to Abhijeet at every possible opportunity. I wondered why the new cop is being given more importance over Daya (and Jayant). I loved Abhijeet from day 1, but it took me some time to digest it.

It doesn't mean ACP loves Daya any less, just that when Abhijeet is present in the scene it's a natural tendency for any leader to call out to the second-in-command. Long back I had discussed this with someone else and we reached the conclusion that the name 'Abhijeet' comes very easily to Satam sir...as a reflex action as it's his son's name.😆

Or do they decide every thing on their own?

The other point is right its natural to call out to the second in command

Some things are indeed personal. If u read the history of Abhijeet's naming, u'll see that the character was to be named Aditya but they changed it to Abhijeet as it was Satam sir's son's name. Then u know the recent Shagnika thing on her bday...the director takes such factors too.

But if a dialogue is written to be spoken to Abhijeet Satam sir cant change it and say I will speak it to Daya or viseversa
