Long essay about my journey with IF. I have written it from CID point of view but this time i'll write about me and IF.
I joined here to get some information on another serial in Aug 09 and ended up looking for CID. I loved the comments that were being posted. I read the updates of old episodes which I had missed and then became a regular silent visitor. Then I found that many were 'members only'. So I had to create a login in order to read some. The one update I really loved was the 'Lapata Kidney' one in Nov 09 around the time I became a member here.
I learnt many things here...writing funny stories, making people laugh, net etiquette, reading between lines - lots. And most of all, I came to know our duo as actors much better, something for which I am thankful to the people who have visited them and shared their lovely experiences.
Suhaani - earlier known as Drilabh. I think we got in touch sometime in April 10. I think I PMed her about a Suhaani story of hers and then we started chatting. I initially thought she was a boy who was trying to get too close. 😆 Then I had a nice laugh at myself when I knew she was a girl. We had a lot of offline discussions about many things...some things which couldn't be discussed on the forum etc. She continues to visit IF even after going to UK and that's very sweet of her.
Shagnika -We came to know each other during the Rishtey highway discussions and during the signature campaign last year. For those who don't know about it, we wrote a letter to FW and Sony and even Satam sir about the fall in standards of CID episodes. We had lengthy discussions on this and came to know each other very well. I found the Mumbai voters list and she sat and searched the Marathi pdf files for Shivaji Satam sir's address and found it. So I asked her to send her copy to Shivaji Satam sir. He got it and was very happy.
Bhavana - Maybe we came to know each other better after she visited the CID team. I think till 3-4 months back we didn't know each other that well.
There are many others - Chinnu, Sunny, Jiya, Sneha, jatt48(wonder where she is now). I can write about many people here....
And finally one person who deserves a special mention. It is Prabha.
We were good friends....we started communicating on 14th Dec 2009(she remembered this date, not me 😆)
We agreed on many things, we agreed to disagree on many things. I loved the way she used to sit and dissect my posts and write replies. She used to get an intelligent discussion going. She opened many good topics. She researched and made the 'All case list'. (Oops, I have not updated it, will do it within a day or 2) She made high quality videos of very good cases - something which I still treasure. She was the person who discovered the Rishtey Highway video - I'll always be grateful to her for this. We had lots of discussions on the 'Down the Memory lane' thread - as we seemed to have watched similar stuff during our childhood. Even she was an early bird, so we used to chat early in the mornings. I have some lovely memories of my time with Prabha here.
Sadly the communication between us ended within one year. She has left IF for reasons best known to her. I must add that maybe some of my words added fuel to it.
It was really tough...I was upset for a long long time. I tried keeping in touch thru other means, but the more I kept in touch with her outside IF, IF became more painful to me as her absence was staring right at me here. I've let go, I am back to my cheerful self. I am able to talk about Prabha without any anger or complaints. No matter what happened during the last few days, she'll be in one of my good memories.
Overall I love IF....it's on alt+Tab as i work. I work on an internet based job, so I am online for a large part of the day and IF is a nice break from my monotonous job.
