I have a feeling that the characters in the CID Team are quite rude.
They yell and scream at suspects (not all of them are criminals) unnecessarily.
They don't even blink to slap someone.
If you have watched any American Cop serials, you will see the cops are much more graceful to the suspects.They call you "Sir/Madam", they don't even touch you unless they are arresting someone.
Every one is innocent unless proven guilty.
Does the Indian law allow people at power to hit anyone?

What are your thoughts in this?

Once a person falls under the suspect category he/she tries to cover herself up with a bunch of lies. He/she doesn't exactly cooperate with the team. Even if he is not the guilty one he doesn't confess it either in fear that the goons will come after him/her. Sometimes the suspects are shown to be fidgety around the team that easily gives off the "culprit" vibes. I don't think without a proper reason CID team has ever attacked someone.

I wouldn't compare CSI to CID because seriously there are no comparisons. CID team takes us to the dirtiest of slums to the worst of gutters in search for a clue/criminal. According to me this is what I find more realistic.

Laws are much more strigent in US compared to India. Law is a bit lenient out here. It can be good as well as bad. Good because, you get your chance to prove yourself innocent and bad that if you are soft target you are finished.

Also, I beleive, unless proven you are innocent but people misuse this oppurtunity to their benefit. They get scot free if they have political link and victim and his'her family suffer the consequence of it very bitterly. That is why police are a bit tough which looks like they are rude.

I don't agree that the officers are always rude.Many a times the suspect is in front of them but they let him/her go bcoz they believe in what he/she has said.For e.g. in the episode the motorcycle thief,acp agrees with what thefriend of the suspect says, he comes out and then he realises that thefriend is the thief actually.Sometimes to bring out the truth they have to shout ;if they become polite with everyone everybody will make a fool of them.The slap is the trademark,unless and uintil they don't slap the criminal wouldn't be caught.truly bollywood style!!!
