Before I proceed... WOW, we got to see the rare slap by ACP Sir today! 😃 Satam sir's performance was really good today especially in the second half, hats off. His disguise was nice too. 👏
Good episode, good plot, decent script. The final twist was written well, I hadn't guessed that he was behind it all. I thought the opening scene was a little more lighthearted than it should've been, but it was good nevertheless. Daya and Abhi sir were great as always, but apart from the intial bomb hoax in the first half they hardly seen together at all, and Daya sir was missing from the final scene. Why did they have to keep Kajal with Daya sir and Freddy instead of Abhi sir? Poor decision regarding the teaming again. Oh well. I liked that they let Abhi sir nab one of the robbers and show his aggressive side in the final scene. 😊
Daya Sir was great in all the scenes he was in, especially while talking to the murdered man's neighbours and trying to defuse the second hoax bomb, truly realistic expressions of tension and terror while talking on the phone. 👏 Speaking of that, I find it rather odd that the criminals planted fake bombs. I get it they wanted to baffle the police by using an unusual tactic like that, but it's not like people like them care about innocents being killed for their plans, they might've as well used a real one. Leaving the key of the car back in the house with the house owner's corpse was another blunder on their part.
Freddy was shown to be more serious (except the small part where they discuss him trying to break a door 😆 ), but still less screen time than he deserves. Vivek got a bit more screen time than yesterday, liked how he caught the servant by landing a kick from the window, and his disguise scene with the tie and glasses was cute. 👍🏼 Tasha, once again severely underutilized, she was almost nonexistant. About time they rectify that.
Sachin and Kajal didn't really impress me. Kajal had way too much screen time today and nothing really remarkable, why can't they let Tasha do that instead?? At least Sachin nobly took a bullet in the name of duty today. 😉 Forensic scenes weren't really good, the stupid scenes between Sonali and Dr. Salunkhe can be safely trashed please. I'm looking forward to some meaningful discussions in there.
The side actors did a fairly good work, the curator person is a quite common face and does a fine job. I think the Sharbaani girl was there playing a criminal in one of the recent episodes too, she's alright. I liked the way they had the killed guy at the tea shop drop dead with eyes blankly staring, eerie effect. The art direction seemed better; the servant's house and inside of the museum looked authentic and apt. Wish they hadn't given Sharbaani yet another bungalow though, oh well. Editing was good but the episode felt dragging in a few places, which I guess is a fault of the script rather than the editing. They gotta work on that better.
Overall I liked it quite a lot, but I felt there was a little spark missing which could've made it even better. The ingredients were all there, but better pacing issues, a stronger and well-rounded script and keeping our regular team prominent with the newcomers just supporting would've helped it step up a notch further. But anyway, this week's been much better than the last and I appreciate the efforts put in, hoping for even better material next time. 😊
