@ Prabha or @Visrom or @Anyone who saw CID from the very beginning or almost from the beginning. A question am curious about is -- Did CID's TRPS and reputation increase after Aditya sir's entry as Abhijeet?

I have no idea. I don't know if TRPs was the only thing people ran after in 1999. this craze has gone to unbelievable limits since 2002, I could be wrong though that is what I feel. At that time we did not have forums like these and it was film that covered the whole of entertainment news. There was nothing to build a general perception about a series except your own family members.

Personally speaking, after Abhi Sir came in, it felt like a complete picture. That fire and aggression was missing in the team them. He was that missing element in the team which we are so lucky to have found.

The approach has changed. Earlier people worked hard to give a good product and TRPs followed and now they run after TRPs and provide filth most of the time. Its now a struggle to grab eyeball by hook or by crook. They are just happy that X Number of people saw their episode but how many people really enjoyed it, has not meaning, it does not matter if all those X people felt they wasted their time. The whole idea of entertaining the audience has changed

no, the cid's trp increased after "the case of an orphan child"...becoz it was actually written on a orginal incident.

want to know how i guess that? u know i am in bangladesh. and prabha u r very right that there was no such communication. and then there were no such promos of episodes. becoz that time everyone only want reputation,no such commercial plots. the only way to know is "newspaper". can u imagine that a bangladeshi newspaper wrote a article that time of the making of tv serial cid with real life incident?"the case of an orphan child"..a lady died in the hospital. her husband thought it was doctor's fault.

As far as I remember, Sony was a new channel at that time. People used to watch more of Zee TV. Even I never used to take a second look at Sony. I remember the transmission used to start only at 2PM. 😆
