Anu,
It is nice to read your posts after a long time. You are ever optimistic about the show. You always try to show a context between a religious story and underlying theme at CB. I have enjoyed reading your mails as you are very knowledgeable and have good correlations. But, I think now the creatives have moved away from that.
They only brought back Kanha after several months as they realized that people want to see that connection. But similar to burning track, they violated that theme again by making it seem as if Kanha likes to test his devotees for no reason at all. That's what makes me so mad about these tracks.
During the ONS track, they destroyed both Vishaka and Dev's characters. Vishaka as she was not interested in Dev except for his money and so asking for ONS was out of character for her. Dev because they made him so weak during that one week that he agreed to it. Dev was always a strong character who fought with destiny and would have rather given up RP title than agreeing to her condition. I am not talking about Radhika here because Radhika always pushed Dev towards Vishaka. Here I wasn't expecting it, but I liked her conversation with Kanha and she did eventually stopped Vishaka.
With this track, they are again destroying Dev. He is the one who made so many promises and always mentioned that he would come back for her in any condition. So, will have to see how they show him from next week onwards. Will he be willing to give up everything for Radhika again? We won't know until they show that interaction.
As far as the child is concerned, it doesn't matter if he is not Dev's. I am sure that he is not Dev's child anyway as the creatives should know by now that it would be totally unacceptable to the audience. But, the point is will Dev move away from a child who considers him his father for Radhika's sake? Probably not. So, he will be acting like Radhika did last year and Radhika will be trying to convince him to accept his old identity. This 5 year leap along with a fake wife has just destroyed the last remaining character for me and Dev was the most beloved of all characters. Right now, I am liking Radhika and her dignity in getting a job and just her whole demeanor. So, I will be rooting for Dev and Radhika to reunite but now only for Radhika's sake and not for Dev's sake. Last year, it was the opposite. I thought that no track can be as bad as burning track and ONS. I was wrong and this is the track. The only difference is that I am not affected the way I was last two times and only thing is feel sad that such a nice show to which we were all attached was sacrified in name of weekly ratings. The first two tracks backfired badly on the creative and let's see if this one does the same.
