Agree with your assessment of Arjun's acting. I was thinking that he is pretty good and how come they haven't used him for more than a year. His frustration at the situation was so palpable. He needs to more than a silent spectator in the show and a side kick to Mrin. As you mention constantly, chachoo is good too both as a joker and a grey villianish character (kind of think of him as Loha Singh of Agle Janam).
Angie....chachoo and Arjun deserves a track of their own........Chachoo is like Loha Singh.....but if he is used properly he can be a much shrewder version of Loha and I will be happy to just sit and listen to his dialogues and snigger away.😃
I expected that Arjun, Mrin and Chachoo along with Vivek would be given prominence once Radhika becomes the official DIL and first wedding truth is out. But, what a waste in last few months. No expectations that the next track would be any better. At least Shantanu's track sounded good initially and in some episodes. This track is making me yawn even before starting. As you mentioned, they may bring back Vishaka and are just fooling the audience. They think that if Amma and vishaka are in the show, it brings good ratings. They forgot that Vishaka and Amma were an integral part of the story last year and were needed. This year after Radhika becoming stronger, they are redundant and need to be in the show so that all the loose ends from last year are tied.
As you have said the creatives need to get it in their head that amma and Vishaka are past......they do not have any place in the story now. I think since most of us were saying that last years CB was much better....the creatives have got it in their heads that we want RaDev seperation........sad songs.......etc. when most of us probably meant good screenplay, dialogues, direction and editing.
There is still potential for this show to go up if they utilize the existing characters properly. But, looking at the track record since Dec 2009, I would say that the probability of that happening is close to zero. They don't have to spend money on these stunts and expensive actors. They can concentrate on PB and their members and have enough interesting tracks. Maybe if they spent more time editing and making sure of the continuity as well as writers. One example is Dev's photos in their revolving room changes their position almost daily. Last year, Vishaka's photo used to be in Dev's room even though Dev could hardly stand her and now there is no photo of his beloved Radhika in his room (the wedding photo was there for a day as they needed to show it falling on the floor). Is he such a narcissist that he only wants to have his own solo photos in his room? Doesn't go with his character.
The future storyline of another parallal lead is boring me......its the same thing again and again...as for Vishakas picture I think that is not Devs fault.......the creatives were in love with Vishaka and were putting her picture up everywhere.
