Murder of Character of Vishaka

I know most people hate Vishaka, but I was one of the few who sort of liked her earlier portrayal of the character. She was the favored daughter, the apple in the eye of her grandmother and indulgence from her parents, queen of her domain... She was a selfish, self-centered girl, from small time with big dreams of stardom for which she was prepared to go to any lengths... She was a strong, funny character, always in a soup of her starting and then things going out of control, expecting Radhika to rescue her...

But now after her return, they have completely murdered her entire character... she is shown weak, clingy, crying... instead of the second lead role, she is turning out to be a weak side character... She really should either quit this serial while ahead or demand a better role... instead of showing her character who has learned from her mistakes and now wants to make amends, they show this side show where she is coming across as deranged as Amma or Mrinalini or that shiny suit sulking around the hotel.... The actress should refuse to do this to her career or else she will forever be cast in negative role...

Well making Vish pathetic looking girl... the DJ have taken all fun out of her as bubbly vibrant presence to make us laugh by her stupid actions and put down mrinalini with her witty answers... now she looks like those comic figure with those stupid puppy love syndrome

yes she has gone too far and crossed all her limits i wanted to slap her when i saw that she was doing the aarti and she looked disgusted{no offence to priyanka}

Vishaka has become a pathetic joke. She appears to be schizophrenic and the CVs have made her so inconsistent that the only way to "save" her would be to show a track where she's suffering from schizophrenia. That would be a challenging role for Priyanka and it would be a good excuse for the CVs to explain why they made her so grossly unrealistic and ever-changing. Seriously, they should pursue this track and Vish kanya can be shown as utterly confused about what and who she wants in her life. Please note, I am not mocking schizophrenia or any mental illess, as I know these are very serious conditions. I am just offering a suggestion to the CVS: Get Vish out of RaDev's lives and give her her own story where she battles a mental illness. And please don't make Dev her saviour and rescuer. Show Shastriji and Devaki stand up and take responsibility for Vishaka for a change!

I agree. I didnt really like how vishaka always expected radhika to rescue her but i also dont like the vishaka of today. Her doing the aarti and making dinner and all was enough. I really hate her. I just hope that the creatives give her and amma a smaller role cuz they are really getting on my nerves. 😡

They really should show her bubbly personality which comes across on so many SBB/SBS and during her interactions with Purab... the story line is losing its grip.. on one side they do show Radev scenes to keep ratings up.. but on other side, they are losing track of the side character's personalities...

Mrinalini was shown to be a bored wife with too much time on her hands, with cutting remarks and penchant for stirring trouble... just as Amma was shown to have the absolute detestation for Radhika and absolute love for Vishaka.. and then there was the Vaishali character...

But now Amma with the burning track was shown bordering on insane and is now back to being promoting of Vishaka...
Mrini is now gone from being snooty/cutting to attempt to murder??? Really????

Aviation ... like your post ... but disagree with some of the comments and comments of other postees too, mainly regarding Vish

I think Vish has always been selfish ... the only difference in the past has been that she has never wanted Dev. In fact, I found her whole Vish turned good very surreal ... but it was understandable bcos she thought she had bigger fish to fry

I think Vish is being who she is ... we tolerated and probably liked her earlier bcos she never went after Dev (though technically she tried to sleep with him to have a waaris)

- She sent Rads to the producer ... did not care that she was almost raped
- She did not say anything when Rads was being kicked out of PB
- Knew that a person like Rads who had gone through the saat pheres would consider Dev her hubby ... but rudely snatched whatever she had and went to Dev's house and pretended to be his wife for his money
- Almost raped??? Dev so she could have a waaris

List is endless ... but she has always listened to Amma and made Rads life hell

So, yes, during her wedding she came back and graciously allowed Rads to be married to Dev ... but though she is not as evil as Amma she still continues to be selfish and self centered. She now is going after Dev ... that is the only difference.

What I find very uncomfortable to deal with is that they are trying to make her a sympathetic character, by showing that she had a miscarriage and putting the blame for that on Dev ... I find that totally unacceptable

I actually like the actress and think she plays the role of vamp very well ... but in my mind Vish has always been selfish and gone after what she has wanted and if Rads is in the way, she gets hurt. She is not going to be as evil as Amma but she is going to create hell for Rads bcos she sees her as an obstacle. .
