9th March - Written Update

Radhika is standing around lost in her thoughts. Nandu comes and asks her if she is thinking about Kanha and she tells him she was. He says see how I recognized it so fast? She smiles and goes to hug him. He goes wait don't hug me you haven't showered yet and I will get all the colors on me again. Radhika asks him so? He says I will have to take a shower again and I don't like taking showers. Radhika laughs and Nandu asks her if she doesn't want to go home? Radhika thinks to herself she can't go home because Dev will be coming there and she has promised never to come infront of him. Nandu asks her what she is thinking and she says nothing. Nandu tells her to smile then because she looks really good while smiling. Just then Daadi's car is passing by and she notices Radhika. They stop the car and Deepika asks her what she is doing there. At the Shastri house, Devki calls Vishakha to wash the Pattals (plates made out of leaf that you eat in .. i think). Devki says oh this girl has left her clothes laying around here too. Amma comes there and asks her if everything is ready and Devki says yes except for the Pattals being washed everything is done. She asks Amma where Vish is and Amma tells her she is sleeping. Amma says she came in my room to talk and fell asleep while talking. Devki says you should have woke her up because her in-laws should be coming anytime now. Amma says no let her sleep because girls come to their maayka to rest. Amma says even I can wash these but then what will you do? So you do it. Devki says okay but still this is not the time to sleep and she didn't even help with any work. Amma tells her you are supposed to make your girls work before their marriage not after. Shashtri ji comes there and says she didn't do any work even before her marriage. She was lucky she got a sister like Radhika who didn't let her do anything and did both their share. He asks where Radhika is and Devki looks at Amma scared. Amma says she is not home, she didn't return from playing Holi anyways she does not care about work. Amma says to Devki why are you standing here? Don't you have dishes to wash? Go and wash them. Shastriji says I will check she must be around, it's almost lunch time anyways. Amma says why are you troubling yourself? And they hear car honks and they say oh I guess they are here. Shashtri ji goes to see them and Amma calls Devki. Devki says please wake up Vishakha because what will they think if they see her sleeping. Amma says wake up Vish your inlaws are here. She says oh my god daadi when did they leave that they are back (😆). Daadi says what will they say if they see you sleeping in the middle of the afternoon? Vish says o GOD no one let's me sleep first them and now you Daadi. This way I will definitely get dark circles under my eyes. Devki touches daadi's feet and they exchange hellos. Shashtri ji asks where Purohit ji is and daadi says he is sick that's why Vaishali stayed back with him too. Shastri ji says oh and everyone else? Deepika says the rest are coming too but you see who we have brought with us. Devki's face falls as she sees Radhika (I don''t know why she is still hiding her face with her pallu!!) Shashtri ji says I was just asking about her I'm glad you brought her with you. He asks her where she had gone and if she went to the mandir. He asks her to hurry up and get ready as it's getting late for lunch. Radhika runs in her room and Amma comes out of her room and follows her. She says don't you have a brain? Didn't I tell you not to come infront of her in laws? Radhika says I didn't want to come infront of them that's why I was away from the house but Daadi saw me on the way and asked me to come with her and I couldn't say no. Amma yells why couldn't you say no? She says when you don't have right intentions, you can't even speak. Radhika says I will give some excuse and leave now. As she starts to leave, they hear Birju and Dev arrive. Amma says come here, now Dev is here you wont even be able to leave. Radhika says I won't come outside Amma and he wont be able to see me. Amma says don't you forget that and if you forget, then remember that no one will be worse for you than me. Everyone is sitting on the floor for lunch and Devki brings food out. Deepika starts to help her. Daadi says thanks to you we got to celebrate holi here. I wanted to stay until holi but we suddenly ended up going to Delhi. She says but it was in our destiny to be here for Holi so we made it back. Mrinali comes in and says there's no tables or chairs here? Shastri ji says I will get arrangements done for you inside, Devik go ahead and, Daadi says no there is no need for that. Daadi says Mrinali you will eat later right? You will help Deepika in serving everyone right now? Mrinali sits down and says when I have two devranis why do I need to work? Deepika says true, i'm here I used to serve 20 people at once in the Dharamshala, there are only 5-6 here. Daadi says Devki you also come and sit with us and eat, the girls will serve us? Devki says no I'm okay I will eat with Radhika later. As soon as she says it, she realizes what she said and looks at Amma. Dev says Radhika? Vishakha's sister? Amma has a really worried look on her face. Daadi says yes your saali, you haven't met her yet have you? Dev says I guess she doesn't want to come infront of me. Shashtri ji smiles. Daadi says the poor girl is always busy in some work or the other. Dev says I didn't even get to meet her at the wedding, didn't some relative get sick and she had to go drop them off? Devki and Amma are looking very scared now. Shashtri ji says yes she is always busy in house work, even now she is getting everything ready for lunch, she is a little shy but I will call her right now. Shashtri ji starts calling her name and she hears him in her room. Shashtri ji is still calling her where are you Radhika beta, Birju has a pensive look on his face, Radhika looks confused, Amma and Devki scared. Shashtri ji asks Devki if Radhika is at home and she says yes. Deepika asks where the mithai is and Birju says he will get it. Deepika asks if he knows where the kitchen is and he says he will find it. Amma shakes her head at Devki indicating I can't believe you took her name. Shashtri ji continues to call out to her saying come and see your Jijaji has come to meet you Radhika. She is really confused on what to do and is taking baby steps towards the door. Everyone else has a "what in the world is going on" look on their face. Shashtri ji says beta where are you? Radhika stops at her bedroom door and Birju comes there. Radhika tries to smile at him. Birju says I know you are scared fo going outside aren't you? He says you don't want to go infront of Dev because he doesn't know that his wife's sister is his duhream girl (read dream girl 😆). Radhika is shocked.
