Vishakha Loves...

Yesterday's episode made me think if Vishaka is really as much of a negative character as i had assumed. During the scn where Vishakha's mother was asking her to love Dev so much so that he'll forget all else, i saw her expression that seemed so genuine seeing Vaishali's worried face. And even after Vaishali left, she was saying how everyone except for Dev cares about her in the house..acknowleging that the people in the house actually care about her...but i had thought that was a fluke so didn't give much thought.

But yesterday's epi made me think..
When she heard Radhika came her immediate expression was happiness. It was only the idea that Rads will meet Dev and her lies might come out.. that changed her expression of happiness. When Mrinu revealed about her hotel incidence to Brij Mohan her expression was guilty and then when she saw her father folding his hands in front of Dev and asking forgiveness on her part.. her expression was pained at the humiliation her father was entitled to because of her.. then at the end when Brij Mohan mentions Devki's illness she was concerned.

you can take her concern for her parents as genuine because they are her parents no matter how selfish she is she must love them right. BUT... why the happiness to see Radhika unless that she really does care even a little bit for her. There was a glimpse of that when Vishakha has thought that her father was fixing Radhika's marriage and she had teased her about it.. In Vishakha's mind Rads is really her sister..

Its another thing that she is selfish enough to blame her mistakes on her sister... but at least she doesn't treat Radhika like Amma does. She may be manipulative and puts herself before eveyone else.. but i think after her problems are solved she might actually care about Radhika.

i also surprise when she heard Radhika name she feel happy & same moment when shashtriji tell that she also meet Dev..Maybe she is not negative but she looking herself first then all even her parents..She want to go audicen, she left..when she come back she knows that RAdhika alread married to DEv she suppose to stay home & send Radhika..ITs natural that all care for parents..if she really worried about them then she atleast told true to her dad..Devki not going say any word because Amma & also she worried about Vishaka..SHe know although time Radhika save her from all things..

You are absolutely right. Vishakha is selfish (but not mean or vengeful like Mrinalini). At heart, she is a simple girl, daughter of a middle-class, small town priest.

Remember when she was caught serving restaurant food, she said so honestly - "Main ek gareeb ghar ki ladki, main kya janoon bade ghar mein muhjhse kya kya ummiden ki jaati hain".
Later she sincerely thanked her mother-in-law for the "paheli rasoi" gift. Not only that, for the first time, she did not open the box to see how much the gift was worth. Instead she said - "Aap log kitne acche ho, sazaa ke bajai, mujhe tofah de rahe ho".

She is very lonley in her sasuraal. She has no friend. She knows her husband does not care for her and she is frightened that she will be exposed. On top of that she does not know how to behave with her high society in-laws. She feels completely out-of-place. That is why she was genuinely happy to see Shastriji and learn that Radhika had also come ... they were two familiar faces in an unfamiliar household.

But I am curious about one thing - how will she react when she learns that Dev fell in love with Radhika and that the proposal was for Radhika? She is after all a woman and her ego will be hurt. What will she do then? She cannot say or do anything to Dev ... but will she be mean to Radhika?

no i dont think so.. she is only acting for money.. she is afraid her lies wil come out and she can't make movies... i dunno.. mujhe tho aise hi lagta hai

yes thats the word.. instant reaction.. 😆. I think like Brij Mohan said about her.. she is "chanchal" but dil ki itni buri nahi hai. For one.. she didn't know about Radhika's love for Dev or that Dev has always wanted to marry her. To her it was an easy deal.. and she might have been doing a favor to Rads who had to get married in her stead. So apart from her selfishness to fulfil her ambitions i think somewhere down there she is not a horrible person.
