Birju surprised me!

I just watched yesterdays epi right now and must say that i never expected Birju to react that way,.. i mean i did but not with such seriousness or conviction about what was the right thing for Dev to do. Ofcourse what he said is because he truly believes Dev to have lost his mind and that he is in love with some imaginary person.. but the way he scoled Dev for going after another woman the day after his wedding and the then the way he (not so gently) reminded Dev that he is married and for no fault of others, whatever has happened has happened and he cannot go back on his commitment,... ya its a bit twisted that i actually appreciated Birju.. not because he is advicing Dev to accept Vish which is obviously the wrong course of action (but will discount him his ignorance in the matter).. but because i think he is the embodiment of a true friend who will not hesitate to stop Dev when he sees Dev doing something wrong. At first i had thought Birju is just there as a sidekick and a comic relief. But i am pleasantly surprised by the credit given him. I think i am really going to enjoy this show very much. 😃😃
