Have been watching the show from the start but feel there is something lacking in the Dev and daima bonding. Both are great actors but may be dev hasn't forgotten Daima as Amma:)
Really wish they showed some bonding as She is the only person other than Rohan and may be Padma that has genuine feelings for Dev. She is the only real family he has and of course Dadaji
Lets hope they show some progress. The Dev and Dadi relation was so strong in CB1 that its hard not to compare

I agree with you & I'm sure that they'l show the bonding soon.Maybe after Dev confides in Amba about his love for Radhika the bonding will be stronger.

may after Dev find his parents CV will show the good bonding...
I like Radhika's and her father's bonding here........it's like two friends she share every thing with her dad I like it a lot..
may be after dadaji recover then they will show good bonding with dadaji and Dev I like that also...............

Dadi-Dev bonding and Amba- Dev bonding are different because the circumstances are different. Dadi and Dev belonged to a very influential family where dadi was the ruling matriach and Dev the darling son of the family who was spoilt by everyone. Dadi was Dev's best friend and guide. Whereas although Amba is also Devs mentor here, she knows that Dev is actually not a servant but a member of the family whose identity has been kept hidden. This family is a traditional family with traditional values. Amba is also a very traditional person so she might not cross the servant-master invisible border that exists to Amba regarding Dev. Considering Dev, Amba has been always telling him what to do and what not to do........she has given him loads of responsibilities from childhood.....and that is why Amba might be not be a friend to Dev but just a mentor. Thats why Dev might be hesitating in telling Amba the truth. Dev and Birju had a similar relationship.....although both were best friends but there was an invisible border between the two.

There is a similar relationship to Dev-dadi in this show..........thats Masaram-Radhika.Infact I find this relationship more interesting than Dev-dadi..........the reason is that although Radhika is an adopted dauhter, Mansaram always keeps her interests first in his life..........being poor and uneducated he is ready to stand up for her in whatever way he can.............Radhika trusts her father completely and looks at him always and knows that if he is around then she is ok.

beautifully explained misti- dev-dadi can never equal dev-amba. I think cb 2 is far more polished when it comes to acting skills etc. becaue the production house must have learned their "lessons" from all the feedback we gave them!LOL!

I agree that the dynamics are different. But somehow when dev was younger you could see a closeness between the two and now that is missing. I don't know what you mean by master servant relationship. There are no boundaries for expressing love. They have shown her feed him with her own hands and she has even said that 'is she not his mother' that is a big statement to make so i don't see that, that is really an issue here. i feel its more the characters they have show to be very disconnected in a way. Something is missing and don't know what. After dadaji's illness its mainly amba that has been there for Dev. They really need to do something about it. Though very surprisingly i love Rohan Dev relationship. They have really shown a change from what was there during their childhood. They always showed Rohan following Virat but now there is a 180 degree change in that and i really LOVE it just hope they keep that going and don't mess it up. Really HOPE they don't mess it up.

Dadi and Dev,s relationship were natural as he was her younger grandson so you become the pampered one....Here Amba is Dai Ma who has taken care of Dev from childhood....Dai ma is used to be a person who take of the babies from birth ....Yes attachment will be there , but not unconditional love which is found between real dadi and grandchildren....Some kind of distance will be there in case of Amba and Dev as Amba knows the truth about Dev ....Dev and Dadi ,s bonding was the beautiful which can be found in many houses .....In CB1 whatever relationship they showed in PF family were convincing and you could feel as if you are in a real home and with a real family....

yes totally I agree with u ...granny and grand children relation is most friendliest, pure, touchy, and most adorable...so many things we cant share with our parents but we can do withour grandparents..daima is daima..she loves him but always there is a gap..dev grows up as an orphan..since chilhood he is lonely..he nevers can express his emotions, feelings with anyone..according to me the main reason is the special bond which dadi and pota suppose to have which he never can find in daima..
