@MsFrootie- Ganvaar actually means ignorant. So, while it has nothing to do with being illiterate, it's often used interchangeably with jaahil, which means illiterate/uneducated/uncultured. And it's an insult. I guess you're from South India. If you call someone in the North a ganvar, they'd give you one tight slap. Khushi wasn't ganvar, she was just not fluent in spoken English. A lot of very educated people from India/Pakistan also have problems with pronunciation.

It's not offensive but I am a little possessive about Khushi⭐️

The link was probably not working I have put up a screenshot instead.. Oh google says that does it.. But i ve never heard of this meaning of ganvar before.. 😊

Gopi as in the 7pm show??🤢 Please, no way am I comparing beloved Khushi to her.. I have some idea of this Gopi courtesy channel surfing.. Like I said the only thing I meant was the literal meaning which I learnt at school..I'm not a native hindi speaker so yeah I confess my knowledge of colloquial usages and slangs is poor..

Cant believe we ve left RR and are discussing hindi grammer at midnight.. Come on lets forget this and be friends..🤗

Good lord!! I never dreamt of any such confusion nor was it my intention to mean any insult.. 😲

Let me edit out that word to avoid any more issues..

@.Chanchan. - Please do edit it out from where u have quoted me.. 😊

Apologies to anyone offended by this..

Nope, not offended at all. And please, don't feel compelled to edit it out. I just read my post and the tone is more serious than I intended it to be. Henceforth, I shall use more smileys .like these😊 or this😳. In fact, I'm sorry for sounding so rude. But it's a really common misconception you know. Even people whose mother tongue is Hindi often confuse it. At least we discussed some thing other than driving ourselves insane while trying to guess the content of the next promo 😛

Please please Frootie! Disagreeing in discussions like this doesn't make us each other's enemies!🤗 It just reminded me of Gopi so I had to butt in , being born nosy 😛
These are deabtes and it gets boring if theres no opposition!

What im looking forward to most more than the actors is the setting of the show. The rugged - arid desert, and the seemingly conflicted intense story. There is a certain harshness than comes with the territory... There is something in the title which is playful and colorful and yet in the promo you see that the colors are being stripped off her. Not going into the speculating what actually transpires there...but still...you can't help but. It must be a delight for the writers to write for this show.

The stills look like, the girl is subdued by circumstance? and chained by society, and therefore her own self... Or something and therefore caged...I'm thinking a rural context so it's going to be a lot more conservative in that sense. And the colors stripped off her...literally and metaphorically. The guy wants to reach out but is restricted within the confines too.

It's a perfect setting for a lot of creativity. I forsee a lot of FFs cropping up, if this show is as appealing as it promises to be.

Hi spirit... welcome back again !! Premise looks interesting ...hope its not too much of a tearjerker - can't bear to see San cry!

Ash, as much as I cant bear it too, I think we are going to have to😭
And that's where she excels, in addition to comedy(which we aint gonna get in RR) and ofcourse romance.
