Well, a lot of discussion is going on in this forum , some newbies criticizing the serial and Sanaya and some fans over praising the show ..
About the acting of leads.
Some say that it doesn't have any relevant content. Now tell me one leading Hindi serial with a great subject?
From the beginning, itself the makers of Chanchan made it clear that the serial will not have any usual drama . It is totally based on conflict between two different perspectives. I agree that in the first two month, the execution of the serial was not appealing, but now it is becoming more and more interesting.
Why I feel that it is a realistic serial ? What makes Chanchan different from other leading shows ?
Most of the Indian audiences are fans of Dramatic serials. However, in Chanchan, they show how a normal Indian daughter in law behaves in the initial days after her marriage. Chanchan tries to adjust with the customs and practices of her husband's family. That's what happens in typical Indian family.Like a girl with modern perspective Chanchan tries to make her in laws make aware of some illogical practices, but she is not insisting it.A married woman knows it is not easy to change the belief of elders . However, most of the time Chanchan wins the game. For instance , Saree matter. I agree that because of the fire incident, Chanchan got the right to wear Saree, but that is only a triggering reason. Her father in law suggested that because Chanchan unlike typical Bahu voiced her discomfort in wearing the saree. I like the show cause it realistically narrates the conflict between traditional belief and contemporary belief. A simple, logical modern woman will cl everly handle the in laws than creating drama and fights. No one can change the practices of the Sasural in an overnight.It is a gradual process.
In this serial, the two main leads are Sanaya and Supriya, and Anuj responsibility is to give a strong support to the leads . No doubt Supriya Pathak is doing a Fab job.
The character Umaben.I don't know why most of the members comment that Umaben is evil or negative.If Umaben is wicked, then at least 30 % of Mother in law in our country is evil cause she is the typical example of Indian mother in law. The character Umaben is conservative and believer of traditional values but not evil. And Supriya as Umaben enacts her role perfectly. Sanaya is the only reason I started watching a show in Sony. The charm f the lady is irresistible.Someone recently commented that she has only three expressions in theserial, "I am bubbly,bechari and I am hyperventilating". I guess she skipped the episode of fire incident,rain dance, etc. Sanaya as a modern bahu is a perfect choice. She portrays the role of a woman withmodern outlook tries to adjust with the beliefs of husband's family and the role ofperfect wife effectively. She excels in romantic and emotional scenes. Yes,this show doesn't give her many chances to show her capability of handle comical roles.I wonder why she hasn't received any major award yet. I am a fan of Hollywood films and subtle acting, and I felt that almost all leading ladies in telewood overact. And surprisingly, they receive awards for acting.Comparing to them, Sanaya is a good actress who can enact comedy and emotional scenes effectively.
And Anuj as a supporter is doing a commentable job.
The chemistry
Since most of the viewers of Chanchan is the admirers of Sanaya's earlier show.The Impact of the magical chemistry she shared with her previous co star is not easy to overcome. So whatever positive feedback Sanaya Anuj pair recieves now is a good sign.
To destructive criticizers,
Constructive criticism is good , but it is seriously irritating when the criticism is destructive.Calling names of actors, insulting their skill in an unhealthy manner is truly not good. If u are watching Chanchan expecting unrealistic drama between Saas and Bahu then it will disappoint u. If the serial deviates from the subject,if certain scene is not enacted effectively,or if the screenplay is not captivating then u can criticize but if u don't like watching the show or if u hate certain actor then don't come here to make post just to show ur hatred.
