Chhanchhan is not a love story. Yes, the love story is a part of it but the main protagonists are CC and UB and the clash of their ideologies is the highlight of the story.

Sanaya made a conscious decision to not do a love story this time and this is why she chose this show.

this was not a filler episode ...but just the1ststep towards the main story...i think u should concentrate on the kashmir show on different channel ...because this show is not for your genere😔

i guess every1 has told it as clear as it needs to be. that this is not a love story to begin with.. as with majority of Sanaya fans, not jsut u even i prefer love stories and would have liked it more had she done one..

now having said that she made a conscious effort to NOT pick a love story. And we have to respect her decision.

And after having seen today's episode, well i have to say something. This might not be my fav genre.. But I actually enjoyed watching today's episode! it was entertaining in its own right..
I didn't have to force myself to watch it and in most likelihood I will be watching it again cz i actually enjoyed it..
and am looking forward for CC to find her feet in this household and the story to progress..

This is not filler but what you will be seeing all the time in show ...they have shown their quota of romance and then ML is going for his movie shoot also 😆

But i hope your wish for SI to do a love story come true as in past she said that she won't do saas bahu show but she is doing now so she might go back to love story in future ...you never know 😃

You have misunderstood the story tag.

This is a story of a journey by a modern, ethical woman into the household run by an extremely old fashioned elderly woman. Who runs her household with ancient ideas.

It's a meeting of old vs new. Old ideas and new ideas. Illogical domination vs logical freedom. This is NOT a love story. Of course, there will be romance between the lead pairs (and after new Manav, the more the better!) But really, this is not a love story.

As for your statement, that this is a filler epi.

How can that be?

This is the foundation epi of the relationship between the new DIL with her MIL. This is what will drive the future epi. So how does that make it a filler???

Nope! He is not leaving for film shoot now, it is in October. How do you know that romance quota is over? Plus Sanaya has successfully handled a show when her male lead went for film shoot before, so I am pretty sure she will be able to handle this time too and she has the support of capable actors as Supriyaji and others.

Second, I know the interview you are talking about. She NEVER said she will not do this genre, she said she does not like regressive shows. She also said she will portray the character of bahu differently within the limitations of Indian Television shows.

In fact Chhanchhan as a character is a more sensible, educated and progressive than her previous role where she was abused, misunderstood and ill treated by almost everyone and yet she was made to keep quiet or writers made her goofy.

Not getting worked up just stating what Anuj said about his film shoots and what Sanaya said about her playing a bahu' s role.

The comparison because of the context of this thread and argument made by TM about Sanaya's roles and what kind of shows her fans like her in.
