Out of the box 'I HAVE NEVER CLAIMED TO BE A SUPERSTAR'
Says Sanaya Irani, reacting to a comment her former co-star made about her
TV actor Sanaya Irani's last show ' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ' was a hit. Probably that's why, when reports of her headlining the serial, Chhanchhan, surfaced, expectations were high. However, the ratings did not impress. Recently, Sanaya's co-star Farhan Khan was also replaced by Anuj Sachdev in the show. Apparently, lack of chemistry between the two, and as a result, low TRPs, led to Farhan's exit. In this candid chat, Sanaya talks about dealing with the controversies that come with fame and more. I haven't read those interviews, but a lot of people have and they are laughing, as am I. I feel bad for Farhan. I hope he never gets a co-star like me again. I wish him mental health and a good career. I hope he becomes a good actor and a better human being. He holds no value in my life, so what he says about me doesn't matter to me. I've never claimed to be a superstar. I don't think anyone is. These tags don't matter to me. On TV, people love you as long as your show is on air. I don't believe in the word star. If being the most popular person or doing the best TV show was my priority, then I wouldn't have started my career with a small role in Left Right Left. Actors like Farhan grab lead roles when they get a chance because they feel that these roles make them bigger stars. I picked up smaller roles as I wanted to become a better actor. I was not looking for fame. If I could put in a word, you think Farhan would have been in the show in the first place? Mohit auditioned for the show initially, but he didn't get the role. People from the channel and production house decide who to cast and who not to. Not right now. We will tell the world when we think about it. it's work for me, and it feels like it's work. There's nothing disturbing about any trend on television as everything is about creativity. No daughter-in-law cries at the top of her voice or is scared of her mother-in-law or husband in reality.
