Gham ki andheri raat mein, dil ko na beqaraar kar

subah zaroor aayegi, subah ka intezaar kar

Film: Susheela (1963)

Music: C. Arjun

Lyrics: Jaan Nisaar Akhtar

Singers: Rafi & Talat

Such an under-rated gem! Makes me wish Rafi & Talat had sung more songs together! And the MD C.Arjun - I’d never heard of him! That’s why this is the Golden era- even small-time musicians were capable of composing such beautiful melodies!

P.S. Do read some trivia about the movie in the YT video description.

Mousy, Ritu and Deepu - hope you guys are well. Visit when you can! šŸ¤—

so re-releasing the movie with a different title is old thing? I wonder why was it done? *Running down another rabbit hole*

Raat bhar ka mehman andhera kiske roke ruka hai savera

Raat jitni bhi sangeen hogi, subah utni hi rangeen hogi

gham na kar hai badal ghanera, kiske roke ruka hai savera ā¤ļø

Asha-Rafi duet

Lyrics - Sahir Ludhiyanvi (Trivia says Majrooh Sultanpuri and Kaifi Azmi also contributed to the lyrics)

Music - O P Nayyar

In Asha Bhosle's voice

Rahi manwa dukh ki chinta kahe satati hai dukh to apna sathi hai.. sukh hai ek chhaon thandi, aati hai jati hai, dukh to apna sathi hai

Shows to appreciate the happiness because it isn't permanent and not to worry about pain/sadness either cuz that ain't permanent too. Love conquers all.
