See that's the thing. You've based your judgement on insufficient knowledge which itself renders your judgement redundant. I've not seen much of GOT either and I'm waiting for Martin to finish the series so I can dive head-first into the books. But if the nudity and gore culture is what is off putting to you than it comes down to preference which again does not make a said work 'intelligent shit'.
HBO has always had its set of rules and precursors about its shows. HBO shows are about nudity and other stuff which also adds an element to their grandiose USP. However I've been following GRRM and GOT is an epic fantasy based on the war of Roses. It is intelligent and it is a great piece of fiction because not only does GRRM plays between two extremities, evil and good, but he scraps off the concept completely. This show gives validity to historical context. To people and their cultures before us and the times and values that have prevailed before falling under the tide of revolution and modernism.

There's no good or evil in GRRM's world. There's only uncertainty, unpredictability, glory, honor and valor. And I think that itself is a great contribution to literature. He hasn't just created a world and characters, he's filled it with such amazing and precise detail, hours and hours of it, with such amazing backstory, folklore, history and economics, you're amazed and I think calling GOT anything less than the passionate artistic take on epic fantasy it is is an injustice.😆

Rida - I don't know what part of 'not my kind' wasn't clear enough to state it in the first place that it's basically comes down to one's own preference and taste. I quite well know what elements GoT comprises of and how it goes about executing them. Never did I once intended to take away from what's genius about it, exactly the reason why I said it IS intelligent. But personally, from whatever little I know of it, I find it shit and thus, I thought it'd be enough to just say what I did. I don't quite understand your objection on how I explained what I feel about the show. What I personally feel about it doesn't take away from its credibility or merit.

Intelligent shit is an oxymoron.😆 My point is very simply that while I understand that it is not to your preference, don't you think calling it intelligent 'shit' based on a narrow viewing on your part is an injustice to the content which is more than about just nudity and gore?

No, I don't think you understand because if you did, you'd understand that my narrow mindedness or open mindedness has nothing to do with my opinion because it's purely based on preference and it is completely subjective in nature.

Different ideas but they stem from the same place; a tunnel vision or thought process. Be assured, I took your question exactly as it was supposed to be taken as. 😆 No, I can't and I shouldn't. Having said that, the restaurant wouldn't care as to what a lone customer has to say about its food or service and chances are I'd not visit the restaurant again because if one dish tasted atrocious to me, I wouldn't possibly have the patience to try out every dish there is just so that I form a correct opinion of the restaurant.
