No idea abt Suits ratings...am barely managing to watch the show...find it very lackluster this season. Will keep an eye though. Wonder if sending Mike to jail was a mistake.

AK's 24 is ok to watch. Nothing great but being a thriller it is entertaining. The story has some loopholes but there is nothing like this on Indian TV.

Not sure how sensible it is to invest in channels airing English shows..given how most of the target audience now turns to net for advert free watching

I am not getting the impression that EU has a problem with Irish tax laws. Its just that they offered Apple a sweet deal and now EU wants Apple to pay backtaxes. Not just Apple, but Google, FB, Ebay etc. are being looked into by EU. After Brexit, Irish appeal doesn't look good for EU.

Checked with someone abt Muslim practice of women being allowed to enter the inner sanctum of mosque and was told that even the Haj has both women & men going in to offer prayers. In far corners of Pakistan, there is word that it is not allowed but for the most part, women are allowed inside.

Saw the episode of Suits this week and found it much better. Mike and Harvey were pushed to the wall but they came out ahead. The ending was with hope but don't think that is how it is going to pan out coz drama has to be built. After watching this and prior 2-3 episodes, didn't understand why Mike had to be sent to prison if he & Harvey were going to plot and outmaneuver others by not using fair means anyway?

Guess what? I saw Friday episode of EDKV. Suman was getting married but it did not happen. I think the guy she was to get married to was Aditya. His mom was crying and spoke to Suman separately. She mentioned having 2 kids. Where is the other one? Shravan beat the guy up but the precap had him telling his father that he hated Suman! What happened here? KRPKAB is starting to get outlandish too with Ishwari and Dev's actions, but still watching it.

But that's the thing..the onus of the dealnisnon Ireland ..apple didn't break any laws right?

I can understand why EU doesn't want Ireland to appear as a tax Haven..but then Ireland is whom they should be dealing with right. Not Apple or the other companies

4G has been in India for about 6-10 months now

Airtel has the best coverage for 4G.but their call network in my city is shit..so I havent shifted to it yet

I use Vodafone..their 4G services are average at best. Speed is better than 3G obviously but have a long way to go before they catch up with the speeds in States

EDVK: shravan thinks that sumo betrayed him by agreeing to marry Aditya (she did it under emotional coercion from many who was supposedly on death bed or could die anytime and wanted to make sure sumo was settled before he died) the funny part is that neither shravan nor sumo have confessed to each other..so the question of betrayal sort of doesn't come..esp since shravan had broken all relations (friendship) with sumo in a fit of rage after being manipulated by his father (who wants to keep sumo away from shravan coz she holds self respect higher than anything else just like his wife Nirmala did)

His mum meant Aditya and shravan as her two kids..Aditya was her boss Mr ahujas son whom Nirmala sort of raised after leaving the Malhotras

Sumo made a couple of questionable decisons but shravan has been a colossal ass (excuse the language but he has been) since few epi..sort of feels like the writers went to extreme in a bid to amp up the drama..

I see that happening with KRPKAB also but at a lesser level..esp with Devs behaviour

Saw happy bhaag jayegi..good for a one time watch..it's nothimg path breaking..but decent fun..it was good to see Abhay Deol after ages

EU must be talking with Ireland also internally. They recently did a bailout of Ireland for which money is owed to EU. Member countries have to follow EU rules, which is the reason why back taxes are imposed as fines. This has prompted some sort of US government role in the discussion.

Looking forward to Sept. 7th event when Apple announces new stuff.

The earthquake tremors in US affecting 7 states could be a result of drilling. Tectonic plates are in continuous motion anyway but civilization efforts take a toll on it too.

So, Aditya is brought up by Shravan's mom. Did I understand it right? They were all present at the wedding & knew of the relation! I didn't see any awkwardness in Shravan & his father's behavior. I was wondering why she did not intervene to stop the fight! Looked odd that even Suman kept moving with the fight with a sorry face! Oh well, KRP is taking on a stance that makes no sense whatsoever to bother about EDKV.

Caught up with 24 & enjoy watching that one. Inspiration seems to be from MI2 with virus storyline. But there is more here & different than MI2.

Saw Point Break. Good only in select parts coz of different action but weak in storyline & execution.

Do u know of any good websites for Indian movies? Can be subscription based. Eros is available here but I think they only have Eros movies. I am looking for something more comprehensive.

Heya..been having a crazy week with work and festivities

Is Ganesh Chaturthi huge there?

Here it's increasing in scale every year

And its not limited to Maharashtrians and South Indians like it used to be few years ago..

North Indians, Punjabis Gujratis..you name it and people are hosting Ganpatis for one and half, 3, 4,5 , 7 ,9 ,11,16 days.

Traffic has become a nightmare in few places

I am Uber disappointed at shravan and a bit at Dev too (though I pitu the latter as well). what I don't get is these CVs push the ML to questionable levels..almost toeing the line of being completely black..and then they are forgiven just like that by the FL..with no redemption tracks at all..it ends up looking like their actions (bad ones) were ok and everything is glorified..it really gets me annoyed..that these people face no consequences and are defended by scores of people for things that are plain wrong

And often someone else is made completely black on spur of moment to make the MLs look good..sorry for the rant

Hope you have had a great time in spite of work and traffic. Few people do celebrate GC here but am not one of those. Mom too mentioned going to someone's house for GC, so yes, it must be getting huge. Am glad that praying to Gods is universal.

Nah, ur rant is fine about ML's r track in Indian shows. I was disappointed with RK's lack of r track in MB. R track also has to be handled with a great deal of sensitivity coz the hero who has been drummed down recently can't appear less of a man going forward. He can be perceived as a weakling if the story and execution is not correct. There is a fine line here and CVs prefer not to tackle it and choose the path well-travelled. Till someone bells the cat and is successful at it too, it will be a hard task.

Not getting iPhone 7 but was interested to see what changes they would make coz expect to see them become standard going forward. They all feed off each other. Google dropped 16gb and Apple followed suit. Samsung introduced waterproof phones and Apple went dustproof on top of that. The headphone jack will be eliminated by others too just like Apple.

I saw episode 9 and Mike did get out of prison at the end - me likes very very much. H & M both pulled it off. Lots of twists & turns in getting him out though. PJA was asked how long Mike was in prison & he replied about 3 weeks. Found this episode much better and now have only one left before the break. The cliffhanger has to be about the firm now coz even the promo had Jessica telling them to start concentrating on the firm, now that Mike was out but the end had Louis saying something about losing the firm. Read a spoiler that Mike was going to be a consultant now.

SC's role - Here, the decision is already signed into law by President and then given to SC to state the guidelines in detail for implementation. Does Indian SC have the authority to make laws?

Phillipines leader - he crossed all boundaries of decorum. Who will have any respect for him?

Hello..it's good to be back..Will take me time to come down to earth from the Hugh that the trip was..one of the most memorable ones I have had

As I settle back to routine again (for a minimum of 6 months 😭)

it's bad here in India..public sentiment is taking over reason wrt our neighbour..don't blame people but war isn't an option we can consider given our geographic status

Mumbai was on high alert coz a couple of school children sighting armed men in pathanis and no is going to take it lightly for a few days atleast

It's been pouring here as if it's the start of monsoons all over again

I am curious abt funeral homes there. Do they only bury people or have facilities for cremation too?

The Centre has decided to reply back to SC on triple talaq ..their stance being it's unconstitutional and not prescribed by Sharia laws (I am glad) and that it's not followed in many Islamic states too..so no reason that India shld follow it

Edvk is ending abruptly..they claim it's coz of Nikita's illness (I call bullshit on this) this so reminds me of IPK controversy...Nikita is not as popular as Barun was to warrant shutting down of show..the channel seems to have issues with the PH and has lost interest..

Good for TM & JO at Emmy's. I liked only 3-4 segments of JK. The way he got to Emmy's is sometimes how movie trailers are brought to his show. They weave a lot of difficulties etc. His monologue was good & so was the MD segment. Serving PB&J by Stranger Things kids was not bad either. Rest of it, not so good.

1st Presidential debate came & went. 2nd one is on Oct 9th.

A close friends dad expired..she lives there..there was some page made on the funeral home wesite..with pictures and options to send flowers..got curious coz havent seen anything like this here
