I think his dad praises for a particular scene, like in RR I think it was the Vandematram epi or hate marriage, not sure..

And in SKR I think Swayamvar or that episode with KK in kopw bhavan..

GKD didn't have a scene like these where his dad will be filled with so much of pride.. I mean yes his performance was good in gkd but the Vandematram scene fills one with patriotism nd Ramayana scenes are always heart wrenching and make u emotional, so I think he connected more to these two shows that Gkd ..
