The climax is basically a fight in which the opponent has the upper hand than the heroine because Maddy (who is her coach) is not there
He comes and signals her (In the first half he had told a story about how Genghis Khan inspired him with his war winning tactics) after which she uses the same tactics and wins

There is politics in play as the head of the association wishes to settle old scores with Maddy and makes him resign from his position as her coach.
In the end the heroine beats the association head as he claims her to be his student and runs to Maddy
