Is anyone watching Indian idol junior?

It just started. Other day I tuned into the repeat telecast .

My my those kids are really talented most of them are trained singers.

Why isn't there a lyricist in the panel to judge the pronunciation and lyrics etc? Javed Akhtar really added to that show.

Coming to the current panel of Judges who is that girl who is the third judge ?

One more thing - Just saw the promo of Hanuman while watching Indian Idol. Infant/toddler/baby Hanuman is really such a bundle of cuteness❤️

I think this baby Hanuman is Sony's answer to Nandini & Shivam 😆

Kids are ruling Television waves these days.

the girl is shalmali kholgade though - her claim to fame is pareshaan number from ishaqzaade..

shekhar isnt there, I think its salim and vishal😛

and oh yeah shalmali is herself new to the field (even though she apparently started as a chorus singer in coke studio and all)..how can she be a judge..if shreya/ sunidhi is there, can understand obviously...they are well known, have bank of songs, talented..

I like shalmali's voice..but as a judge so early?😕 nope🥱

I think the quality of entertainment was much better when DD was ruling the waves adn no private channels.

Some of the shows even after more than twenty years they are still memorable.

Now the quantity has not really increased the choices we can make from🤢

Years ago Balika Vadhu broke the stereo type not only in content story but presenting a lead who was a child with social conscience and who looked beyond her family and he loved ones.

She was the model citizen who didn;t need social political postions or money power family support to fight for social justice

And also the show moved away from Mumbai to interior India

Then so many shows that followed BV almost all of them had Rajasthan as back drop. How many survived?

None until Sandhya Beendini came up who also wanted to spread her horizons beyond family in a different way

Why can't they come up with decent stories? If they can't right their own stories then at least borrow from literature.

So many good works from western world can be adapted to television.

Sidney Sheldon for one. His heroines are all strong. One of the few male writers who used women as the protagonist or the central characters.👏

Most of his female leads are very similar to Anandi.They are all intelligent strong as well as emotional once ina while they let their emotions rule them. Almost all of them serve as strong role models too.

Don't know why they don't look at those works.

Then there is Ken Follet his male leads are strong and very distinct but they are all idealists who fall for equally strong women even though the positive female leads don't have much in the story they are no bimbettes His stories have really strong awesome negative characters/antagonists

Sidney Sheldon and Ken Follet's works when adapted to Indian context they make such great stories
