Thank you. Yes, they are very popular in Egypt although the name is different. They call it Balah El-sham (Means dates of Al-sham. Al-sham is a name for Palestine, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon together) or Asabe' Zainab (Means Zainab's fingers) while we call it 'halab'. In some countries, they are called Churros.
