U.S. lists 'high school walking' in Japan as human trafficking

The U.S. Department of State rated Japan as second from the top on a one-to-four scale in its annual report on human trafficking released Friday, listing "high school walking" as a recent human trafficking trend in Japan.

Japan remained in the Tier 2 category for the 10th straight year.

In high school walking, a trend called "joshi-kosei osanpo" in Japanese, "girls are offered money to accompany men on walks, in cafes or to hotels, and engage in commercial sex," the report said.

The 2014 Trafficking in Persons Report also introduced the Japanese phenomenon of "enjo kosai," known as "compensated dating," noting that it "continues to facilitate the prostitution of Japanese children."

Japan enacts bill to prevent overwork deaths

The Diet, Japan's parliament, enacted on Friday legislation requiring the government to take measures to prevent deaths from overwork.

The legislation, which was submitted by a cross-party lawmaker group, was approved at the day's plenary meeting of the House of Councillors, the upper chamber. It has already passed the House of Representatives, the lower chamber.

The law stipulates the government's responsibility to realize a society without death and suicide from overwork by showing the public the true depth of the problem and taking measures accordingly.

i saw that show crime story or something that anoop soni hosts, which deals with a malayalam story. In that they show priests who do holy mass and it was in malayalam, they should have dubbed that part with someone who knows malayalam, it was really bad

Though DD is a terrible actress and her anchoring was lame, I appreciate the grace with which she reacted to her exit. Very classy act ⭐️
They should also fire Ranvir, he is boring.. Though Manish is good, hopefully they don't go overboard with his stupid Madhuri praising antics
