My 2 year old cousin sister has a friend who is a couple of years older than her. This girl lives in the neighbourhood and she and her other friends adore her, always been good to her.

Her brother commited suicide today. And he was supposed to get married next week too. He had a whole life ahead of it, and it all came to an end in an instant.

This little kid, I was talking to her just a couple of days ago, she was laughing at my ridiculous jokes, proudly talking about her primary school, playing with my cousin. She's generally just a good kid.
She'll have found out by now that her brother is dead.
Kids don't really understand death as a concept, but even then, losing your brother that way?
Imagine that. I've never given thought to anything like this. But imagine that. For everyone connected to her brother. We mourn over even the natural deaths of our loved ones, how does it feel for someone to lose someone else in that way?

In RS, there was the subject of ethics and morality. Things like suicide came up. Like euthanasia. Is it right, and all that. What do you think?

Euthanasia isn't a debatable practice in my opinion. It's the person's own bloody choice. Period. Or do you have other thoughts?

As for this suicide, I am terribly sorry. Suicide is both the most cowardly and courageous thing people can do to themselves. It's foolish, in the end. But I try not to feel hostility towards such people because I don't know them and their reasons. That being said, the kid's only 4. If I were her parents, I would

a) Get my shit right, see why my son killed himself
b) and make sure my daughter got away from all this shit ASAP.
