| TV actor Barun Sobti quit TV for a career in Bollywood. It seems the actor will finally get his due after two years since he left his popular TV serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. It's heard that the dashing man has been approached for a film byJohn Abraham. Even though he has worked in two films post Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, both are stuck in limbo. While he has already shot for Adeeb Rais's film, Main Aur Mr. Riight, co-starring Shenaz Treasurywala, the movie is yet to see the light of day. Barun Sobti is also working in Mitali Ghosal's film, 22 Yards. In the movie, touted as a thriller, Barun plays a cricket agent. For the film, he has even changed his look. However, the movie has been delayed, and there is no confirmation on its release date. Check out: Barun Sobti's look in 22 Yards' Under such circumstances, a film from John Abraham can change Barun Sobti's jinxed Bollywood start. "Though two of his films are stuck in the cans, he has now been cast in a John Abraham production. But this time around, he is keeping mum about the same," a source is quoted as saying. Currently, John Abraham is producing several small-budget films. Earlier, John launched MTV host Ayushmann Khurrana with Vicky Donor. The movie was a superhit, and history can repeat itself for Barun as well. Incidentally, he is also from small screen. Barun Sobti shot to fame when he played the character of Arnav Singh Raizada in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. His ardent fans still miss him on TV. |

To my surprise (because I knew he was busy shooting) he later replied, "Yes it's true."
OK then!! However, I then asked if he could tell me which film Barun was cast in, or was ithush-hush? Well - either John was too busy, OR it IS hush-hush, because I received no replyto that.
Fair enough then. We'll just have to wait a little longer! But it's worth noting that, when Ipreviously asked him (via text) about the Rocky Handsome co-star, he declined to respondthat time too, so maybe that IS the film and he's keeping the casting under wraps.
Ahhh, we do... we DO!
Of course, I MUST STRESS, that's just ME speculating. Sometimes these things just have to be kept quiet until the legalities are sorted out, so let's hope we hear something soon!
