He appreciates the importance of family and respects people who do.

Coming to Khushi, I think he's seen her before. How else did he know her last name? I BET he's seen her before-- probably in the States. Or MAYBE he's considering investing in Biotech research and has seen/heard of her in academic circles. He was VERY impressed with her during his grandmom's party.

I don't think he has issues with marriage. A) He wouldn't have given in to his family's wishes so easily otherwise. B) He genuinely seems to want to make this work with Khushi.

Perhaps it was the question of meeting the right woman. He is attracted to her AND he respects her and the person she is. That seems a good foundation as any for a relationship.

At the same time, he hates the loss of control and this uncharacteristic behaviour. Which is why he tries extra hard to ensure that his work does not suffer and he isn't hanging around her ALL the time.
