Thank you Beena for the wishes... Used to be my most favorite time growing up...lot of family traditions like listening to recital of mahisasur mardini on radio by Birendra bhadra at early dawn as a family drinking hot adrakchai ... Marking the Beginning of month long festival break till bhai phonta ( bhai duj) ...all cousins coming over, new clothes... Wearing my grandmother's new white tangail saree with red border and giving the Anjali at the local pujo... lots of good food including mahaashtami bhog...pandal hopping with my sisters till wee hours in the morning... Days of unbridled fun... Piece of childhood nostalgia...will always be with me...I thank my grandparents and my parents for leaving me with such a treasure trove of fond memories of family tradition as legacy... Which I miss a lot nowadays but reminiscing always bring a smile on my lips... Sharing with some dear people who have become such good friends.
