Salman Yusuf Khan's perfect mix for his dream girl

The Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' winner spills the beans about his idea of a dream girl

Having won Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' dance show, Salman Yusuf Khan feels blessed to be supported by his mother and friends from Bangaluru. The single man is in no hurry to find his dream girl unless he finds a woman who is a perfect mix of Indian ethics and modern thinking.

Talking about his female fan following and confirming his single status, he shares, "I don't know if girls are after me? But yes, I am not after anyone right now. I can only foresee my career and am putting in my mind and soul for it. I feel any woman who comes in my life needs to have a mix of perfect Indian ethics and modern thinking."
Salman has undoubtedly come a long way in his life and shares, "I remember while I would have to go to my Engineering college, my struggle days started from there. Coming up and making an identity for self, I cannot forget how I had just Rs 50 in my pocket which would just be insufficient to buy petrol for my bike. Inspite of being utterly calculative, I remember I had to be prepared either to leave the bike at some point of time or drag it along as I would have no money to buy petrol." And adds, "However, despite these short comings, I did not lose hopes. I tried my utmost to work hard and was determined to make it someday through my perseverance. It is at that point of time, I started participating in college function and choreographed few shows. I have seen my share of ups and downs; therefore during the show at times when I could not do well, I would try to work harder. However it is then I decided if now then never."
On improving himself he says, "I do not see anyone as my competitor. I always like to compete with myself. Improving on my drawbacks, flaws, which I may have done is the fore most step. I also research a lot. My dance steps need to be a blend of our cultural heritage as well as the modern changes."
Thanking his partner, he adds, "I thank my partner Drashti Dhami for supporting me at every given point of time. Not only she but with Isha and others I have learnt how to grow. It is very important to be able to achieve what you want, the feeling of satisfaction can't be explained in words."
Further adding about not making it up to the top in the first two Jhalak Dance shows he shares, "I am happy that I have turned out with flying colors the third time. This has taught me to multiply my perseverance and not cease with failures. In fact, failures make you strong I had no Godfather and despite that making it from nobody to somebody makes me feel proud about people who supported me during my not so good days." And adds, "My friends and my family members have always stood by me during the thick and thin days and without an iota of doubt. It is with their support I have made it big. I belong to Bangalore and still here in Mumbai, I can get their emotional touch. Some of my friends cried bitterly while I turned successful."
Sharing about plans to celebrate his success back home, he says, "My friends have been celebrating in Bangalore. When I reach there, I have to throw a party to all loved ones. I am planning to give them a hearty meal of mom's handmade Birynani. I will also throw a party at the Kosami restaurant in Bangalore known for its delicious dishes."
Salman Khan being his icon, he says, "Definitely Salman is my style Icon. I am very fond of him. He is undoubtedly very close to my heart. And my packs have simple come up owing to my rigorous dancing regime. Whenever, I have met Salman, he has greeted me whole-heartedly. I will surely be happy to be choreographing for him one day. Hope that day approaches soon."
Shedding light on his future plans, he says, "God has a plan for all of us. I do not make any plans for my future. All I can say is work harder and also would always look forward for the support of my near and dear ones. For all of us emotional people, support plays an important role in our success."
On films front, he quips, "Frankly speaking, I have nothing much. I will be choreographing a dance number for director Anubhav Sinha. I would not like to share the lyrics with you right now. All I can inform that I will be making Barbie, (Priyanka Chopra's cousin) dance to the tune of the song."
