."..but he would have expected the hot-tempered arnav to "fight" him like a man instead of avoiding him completey and go and get "married"..."
If you could script it differently more powerfully adding some intensity in it... then even the justification is lame but I wont look lameOriginally posted by: Aquiline

I need a teeny-weeny help. its just to get my head straight. tell me if I am wrong.
*ahem*imagine...okay, don't imagine, just think it from the perspective...the general knows how much kushi loves her sister and how much arnav admires his brother. he believed, hence, that though arnav hates rituals, he will be there for akash's wedding until its over especially because according to ritual arnav and kushi MUST be present for the wedding. Their absence was worrying but he didn't really think arnav would be as challenging to his plan as to break his aetheism and "marry" the village girl. hence, the general kept his cool and remained at the temple, being there for his wife who would get suspicious if HE TOO disappeared. but it was when gupta kept looking at his letter and the marriage proceeded without ArShi and many other signs came to his notice that the general doubted his belief in arnav's action. he knew it was stupid to slip off the fact that he will elope with kushi after the marriage but he would have expected the hot-tempered arnav to "fight" him like a man instead of avoiding him completey and go and get "married"...the reason why the general was late to realize, late to react...is the general justified in his thoughts here? or are the justifications lame?

Should we blame the General for his miscalculation or the Writer for her rash blindness?Well, the answer is obvious but I am still voting my General to be my favourite!!! *sits resolutely with arms crossed before chest*
