Simi, does shobhana ever use her own voice in movies? She has a slight accent when she speaks Malayalam so my thought was that she always used a dubbing artist - could be wrong though.

yes she always uses a dubbing artist...and I feel its highly unfair to give awards to ppl who dont dub...but in Malayalam...at one time...everyone from Urvashi to Shobana were using dubbing artists inspite of all of them being malayalis

I agree though, it's unfair to take full credit for an award if you have used a dubbing artist.These artists are severely underpaid as well.

when shobhana got national award for this role of ganga, the point of dubbing was raised by a lot many --because of the' vidamatte ' dialogue...but still shobhana is a classic actress...
