If she wins, i will be happy for savio's sake. man needs a winner after mahii and bharti truly.

as for our fav, well, be happy atleast he won't be bashed for things outside jdj. that would make my work so much easier.

well our fav seems sensible and dignified so he will not have haters because of something he might have said.

lol savio is good;

yes but those who will want to bash him, do they need an excuse??

I mean a certain winner got so much bashed because his "fans were weird" although from my vantage point, which i consider neutral, both sides were equally to blame.

Hi all! Thanks for the invite Sheena!

It will feel so good to finally just chat about random things *sigh*

Anyway looks like JDJ is the topic at the moment. I haven't seen a single episode ever...perks of living outside of India and not coming into contact with very much from the motherland 😆

I don't know if I would like it because I watch a lot of Western reality dance shows and movies so I would get really particular and fussy about things.

Anyone recommend any good JDJ performances I could watch on Youtube?

i m so glad Remo is finally choreographing an A-grade bollywood commercial movie

yes I have seen the promos. and to those who always bash his work, IYF. He is amazing, from scenes, to dances to lighting, a proper job. and so much fun.

Oh and shampa seems to have permanently joined his team.

me and sheen , we too live outside India. but both of us love to catch up with desi shows related to dance. and with sites like desitv and desitashan, its pretty easy.

well, if you watch a lot of western dance reality shows, let me first tell you, Dance india Dance, which is Indias SYT, is no where near to international standards when it comes to ballroom, ballet and contemporary. So don't expect those standards at all. and shows like JDJ is offcourse a far cry. atleast in season1, they used to take one dance form and showecase it, but nowadays its more like theme based, where participants and choreographers play to their strength.

Indian art forms showcased are also not pure, everything is mixed with bw tadka sadly.
for jdj, I donno, season 4 you can watch some sushant shampa acts., season 5, isha -salman acts, ritwick -sneha act and rashmi deepak act.

I know; thus this thread is just to chat about randomness😛

JDJ from season 4 when Remo and Madhuri came on board has transformed from what it was in season 1-3 AND I feel Malaika on season 4 was overshadowed and she realised that and thus Colors got KJo.

KJo rocks; he is very dignified, mature and he is able to stand out and grab the attention he deserves something Malaika lacked.

Although no belittling Malaika, she CAN dance👏 I remember her dancing to namak on NB

I was born and brought up outside India too so whatever I know about JDJ is due to my interest in bollywod and dance and indian tv

Yeah I watch US version of So You Think You Can Dance plus we have Australian So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars which is what JDJ is based around I think. Plus love dance movies like Step Up, Strictly Ballroom, Save the Last Dance, Take the Lead etc etc.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll have a look and try to keep an open mind. I just get really narky when people call something waltzing and don't actually waltz. Same thing applies to traditional dancing. Fusion is cool as long as they say that's a fusion. Urgh so pakandi am I 😕

don't worry if you hang out w me and tannu enough; we will introduce you to dance

well Remo and Madhuri are fantastic and they catch out a lot of mistakes when it comes to technicalities.

I am not a DID fan just JDJ and Nach Baliye.

The recommendations that Tannu gave are the amazing ones: Sushant rocks as a dancer and so do Rashmi and isha

Choreographer wise, Punit, -- watch shibani and Punit from season 5 coz they were amazing too

Savio is good but he gets bad celebs, Salman is awesome, Deepak did wonders with Rashmi...

do you watch hindi movies? what about hindi music? what are you listening to at the moment..

we were talking about watching Olympus has fallen
