City Palace's Pritam Niwas courtyard was buzzing with activity on Saturday. The occasion was the celebration of the birth anniversary of late Brigadier Sawai Bhawani Singh, the last crowned King of Jaipur.

On this occasion, as many as 23 personalities were felicitated for excellence in the field of architecture, medical science, traditional crafts, performing arts and sports. Padmanabh Singh, the 14-year-old adopted heir apparent to the throne along with Rajmata Padmini Devi gave away the awards.

Actor Rajeev Khandelwal, author Dharmendar Kanwar, Major Neha Bhatnagar and General VK Singh were among those felicitated for their contribution. The awards consist of '21,000 cash, shawl and a replica of the silver urn placed at the Sarvatobhadra Chowk. All the erstwhile Thikanedars and Jagirdaars, resplendant in their Rajpur finery, were also present at the awards ceremony.
